My name is Pastor Tony Catron I graduate from K.S.U. with a degree in electronic/electrical engineering. While doing that I became a Junior Deacon and also a musician in my dad's ministry in Cleveland, Ohio. Years later, my career took me to Michigan where I worked as a Electrical/Electronic Engineer. While in Michigan I became a Minister, then later went to Seminary training at Birmingham Bible Institute and became an Elder at a large Pentecostal church in Michigan called LLCC. I was called to the ministry by God. So I headed up an outreach ministry based on the End Times, dealing with restoration in people lives. Then my dad called me back to Ohio to help him Pastor his church. During that time, God changed my outreach ministry, turning it into a full-time restoration ministry. He gave me the name Ark of Covenant Ministries and the rest is history.

The Time of the End of the New Babylon

Isaiah 13: 1-22

The burden of Babylon, which Isaiah the son of Amoz did see. Lift ye up a banner upon the high mountain, exalt the voice unto them, shake the hand, that they may go into the gates of the nobles. I have commanded my sanctified ones, I have also called my mighty ones for mine anger, even them that rejoice in my highness. The noise of a multitude in the mountains, like as of a great people; a tumultuous noise of the kingdoms of nations gathered together: the Lordof hosts mustereth the host of the battle. They come from a far country, from the end of heaven, even the Lord, and the weapons of his indignation, to destroy the whole land. Howl ye; for the day of the Lord is at hand; it shall come as a destruction from the Almighty. Therefore shall all hands be faint, and every man’s heart shall melt: And they shall be afraid: pangs and sorrows shall take hold of them; they shall be in pain as a woman that travaileth: they shall be amazed one at another; their faces shall be as flames. Behold, the day of the Lord cometh, cruel both with wrath and fierce anger, to lay the land desolate: and he shall destroy the sinners thereof out of it. For the stars of heaven and the constellations thereof shall not give their light: the sun shall be darkened in his going forth, and the moon shall not cause her light to shine. And I will punish the world for their evil, and the wicked for their iniquity; and I will cause the arrogancy of the proud to cease, and will lay low the haughtiness of the terrible. I will make a man more precious than fine gold; even a man than the golden wedge of Ophir. Therefore I will shake the heavens, and the earth shall remove out of her place, in the wrath of the Lord of hosts, and in the day of his fierce anger. And it shall be as the chased roe, and as a sheep that no man taketh up: they shall every man turn to his own people, and flee every one into his own land. Every one that is found shall be thrust through; and every one that is joined unto them shall fall by the sword. Their children also shall be dashed to pieces before their eyes; their houses shall be spoiled, and their wives ravished. Behold, I will stir up the Medes against them, which shall not regard silver; and as for gold, they shall not delight in it. Their bows also shall dash the young men to pieces; and they shall have no pity on the fruit of the womb; their eyes shall not spare children. And Babylon, the glory of kingdoms, the beauty of the Chaldees’ excellency, shall be as when God overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah. It shall never be inhabited, neither shall it be dwelt in from generation to generation: neither shall the Arabian pitch tent there; neither shall the shepherds make their fold there. But wild beasts of the desert shall lie there; and their houses shall be full of doleful creatures; and owls shall dwell there, and satyrs shall dance there. And the wild beasts of the islands shall cry in their desolate houses, and dragons in their pleasant palaces: and her time is near to come, and her days shall not be prolonged.

The USA has been deemed the “New Babylon,” because of the sin and degradation of our current society. We often hear about these new things rising up such as a new type of love, or a new type of love…really anything new. The people in this country are going for it; readily accepting it. They aren’t at all concerned about their spiritual well being ect. The biggest problem, is that we don’t know where to go; we don’t know what to do, because there is no mentoring, nor anyone to give us guidance. As the Word of God says, there is a time of destruction coming.

If you know anything about old Babylon, it was a beautiful city with two rivers running through the city. Its inhabitants worshiped the Goddess Ishtar. The inhabitants were also those of the Chaldeans, which where a people group who settled in what we know today as Iraq. Babylon was located in the southern part of our modern day Iraq. Incidentally, the tower of Babel described in the Book of Genesis was within this city.

Today, the ancient city of Babylon is being rebuilt and renovated from its already existing ruins. In the above passage of scripture in Isaiah 13:19-22, it is said that when Babylon was destroyed, that it should not be inhabited again. Yet, many today are trying to reclaim the ancient city of Babylon, and restore it back to its former glory. Why? Why is this city, which the Lord destroyed, being rebuilt? For the mere fact that this city, which was destroyed and deemed by the Lord never to be inhabited again, means that those who are setting out to do so are intentionally challenging God. It is really giving credence to the world that the spirit of Babylon lives on.

Why is this so important? Because within the ancient city, anything was permissible, similarly to Sodom and Gomorrah. You can do whatever you want to fulfill your desires from money to sex. Why is this so significant? Because this attitude is what is prevalent today, in the USA.  That of self indulgence, practicing sodomy, demonic worship, etc openly. This country’s leaders present themselves as arrogant, boastful, passing laws and rules not indicative of the Word of God (which this country was based on), law based on personal emotion. People have been saying that the USA is the new Babylon. I thought this was Christian nation, founded on Biblical principals. Well the leaders of the country has said countless times that it is not a Christian nation. What we are is a melting pot of different belief, mentalities, ethnicities, mindsets, yet we are all to be together and operate as one. This nation has brought up laws that take people and bring them under control. The only way to do it is destroy the value and morals of a people, then imprison and destabilize them. They want to police this world, and bring it into a one world system or government. The stage is set for complete world domination.

There is talk about giving everyone a chip forcefully, they want to have complete control over your life, to have control over whether you can buy or sell, to have control over whether you are compliant to governmental rules, to know your heath conditions and your location or your where about, etc. Revelation 13:17.

WE ARE IN A WAR.

We are in a war against ourselves. Its not a war with Satan. He is already defeated. He already knows where he is going. We are fighting our own reality, a mindsets to believe or not to believe in God and his son Jesus. We are fighting the understanding that “if I believe in God and Jesus, then the bible view of  of this world is real, where do I go from here? If I don’t believe in God  and Jesus then I’m living in a false perception and reality in this world. A lot of people in this world has lost there perception of reality, they basing their understanding of the reality in this world and mindset, because of the tradition, rituals, propaganda, and lies that leads to controlling the masses. CONTROL. ” which is form of witchcraft “Certain individuals in this world, want control over God’s creation.  As in the case of ( GMO’s) Genetically Modified Organisms or Genetically manipulated Organisms in other words, the God created DNA “with are the building blocks for life” (Deoxyribonucleic Acid) and they are manipulating the original blue print of God, so they came claim ownership of man through their man made patents and  to have ownership of all they have manipulated they want to make Genetically Modified Humans (GMHs). These are their goals. Once you can make a GMH, that human does not belong to God anymore. That is why if you take the mark into your body, you are no longer God’s, you belong to Satan, the devil. You are no longer what God created in the beginning.  When you stared are now genetically modified and the property of the modifier.

It is Babylon all over again. We are dumbed down, to make us subservient so that we could be controlled. However, God says that if His people who are called by His name, would humble themselves and pray, He would hear them. But if you are wired by the “powers that be,” you are told what to do, how to do it and block your mind to God.

We have fallen asleep, gone astray, and become as Romans while we were in Rome. We have look to many times of what we have, then looking to who we are. Its time now that the Children of God begin to stand up for what they believe, and whom they say their serve, for what is right, real, and what is faith in our Lord Jesus (Yeshua).

Listen to the Man of God

2 Kings 6:1-7

And the sons of the prophets said unto Elisha, Behold now, the place where we dwell with thee is too strait for us. Let us go, we pray thee, unto Jordan, and take thence every man a beam, and let us make us a place there, where we may dwell. And he answered, Go ye. And one said, Be content, I pray thee, and go with thy servants. And he answered, I will go. So he went with them. And when they came to Jordan, they cut down wood. But as one was felling a beam, the axe head fell into the water: and he cried, and said, Alas, master! for it was borrowed. And the man of God said, Where fell it? And he shewed him the place. And he cut down a stick, and cast it in thither; and the iron did swim. Therefore said he, Take it up to thee. And he put out his hand, and took it.

We look at the story of Elijah and Elisha. Elijah was Elisha’s mentor; everything that Elisha asked Elijah what he wanted. Elisha wanted a double portion of what Elijah had. This story of the ax head demonstrates the power of God operating. A steel ax head, by any physical law, under no circumstances, does not float. However, Elisha caused it to float on the water.

2 kings 6:8-16

Then the king of Syria warred against Israel, and took counsel with his servants, saying, In such and such a place shall be my camp. And the man of God sent unto the king of Israel, saying, Beware that thou pass not such a place; for thither the Syrians are come down. And the king of Israel sent to the place which the man of God told him and warned him of, and saved himself there, not once nor twice. Therefore the heart of the king of Syria was sore troubled for this thing; and he called his servants, and said unto them, Will ye not shew me which of us is for the king of Israel? And one of his servants said, None, my lord, O king: but Elisha, the prophet that is in Israel, telleth the king of Israel the words that thou speakest in thy bedchamber. And he said, Go and spy where he is, that I may send and fetch him. And it was told him, saying, Behold, he is in Dothan. Therefore sent he thither horses, and chariots, and a great host: and they came by night, and compassed the city about. And when the servant of the man of God was risen early, and gone forth, behold, an host compassed the city both with horses and chariots. And his servant said unto him, Alas, my master! how shall we do? And he answered, Fear not: for they that be with us are more than they that be with them.

In the 9th verse, Elisha tells the King of Israel not to go to “such and such a place,” because the King of Syria was going to make camp there at such and such a place. When a man of God tells you to do something and gives you warning, you should take heed. The hosts of Syria surrounded the city, and Elisa’s servant grew afraid, yet Elisha was fearless.

2 Kings 6:17-18

And Elisha prayed, and said, Lord, I pray thee, open his eyes, that he may see. And the Lord opened the eyes of the young man; and he saw: and, behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire round about Elisha. And when they came down to him, Elisha prayed unto the Lord, and said, Smite this people, I pray thee, with blindness. And he smote them with blindness according to the word of Elisha.

People can look at your life and know that you’ll be something beyond what you may think you yourself can be. Even a man of God will see something beyond what you can see. “Open the eyes of that individual Lord, so they can see what you have planned for them.” Think about what the Syrian army saw when Elisha asked the Lord to open the eyes of his servant. A whole host of horses and chariots of fire, all around Elisha. Elisha asked that the Syrian army be blinded and they were. The Syrian army was seek Elisha however, they did not know Elisha was right in front of them.

2 Kings 6:19-23

And Elisha said unto them, This is not the way, neither is this the city: follow me, and I will bring you to the man whom ye seek. But he led them to Samaria. And it came to pass, when they were come into Samaria, that Elisha said, Lord, open the eyes of these men, that they may see. And the Lord opened their eyes, and they saw; and, behold, they were in the midst of Samaria. And the king of Israel said unto Elisha, when he saw them, My father, shall I smite them? shall I smite them? And he answered, Thou shalt not smite them: wouldest thou smite those whom thou hast taken captive with thy sword and with thy bow? set bread and water before them, that they may eat and drink, and go to their master. And he prepared great provision for them: and when they had eaten and drunk, he sent them away, and they went to their master. So the bands of Syria came no more into the land of Israel.

Elisha led these men, who were blinded to the fact that they spoke to Elisha the man they sought, to Samaria.

2 Kings 6:24-33, 7:1-9

And it came to pass after this, that Benhadad king of Syria gathered all his host, and went up, and besieged Samaria. And there was a great famine in Samaria: and, behold, they besieged it, until an ass’s head was sold for fourscore pieces of silver, and the fourth part of a cab of dove’s dung for five pieces of silver. And as the king of Israel was passing by upon the wall, there cried a woman unto him, saying, Help, my lord, O king. And he said, If the Lord do not help thee, whence shall I help thee? out of the barnfloor, or out of the winepress? And the king said unto her, What aileth thee? And she answered, This woman said unto me, Give thy son, that we may eat him to day, and we will eat my son to morrow. So we boiled my son, and did eat him: and I said unto her on the next day, Give thy son, that we may eat him: and she hath hid her son. And it came to pass, when the king heard the words of the woman, that he rent his clothes; and he passed by upon the wall, and the people looked, and, behold, he had sackcloth within upon his flesh.  Then he said, God do so and more also to me, if the head of Elisha the son of Shaphat shall stand on him this day.But Elisha sat in his house, and the elders sat with him; and the king sent a man from before him: but ere the messenger came to him, he said to the elders, See ye how this son of a murderer hath sent to take away mine head? look, when the messenger cometh, shut the door, and hold him fast at the door: is not the sound of his master’s feet behind him? And while he yet talked with them, behold, the messenger came down unto him: and he said, Behold, this evil is of the Lord; what should I wait for the Lord any longer?

Then Elisha said, Hear ye the word of the Lord; Thus saith the Lord, To morrow about this time shall a measure of fine flour be sold for a shekel, and two measures of barley for a shekel, in the gate of Samaria. Then a lord on whose hand the king leaned answered the man of God, and said, Behold, if the Lord would make windows in heaven, might this thing be? And he said, Behold, thou shalt see it with thine eyes, but shalt not eat thereof. And there were four leprous men at the entering in of the gate: and they said one to another, Why sit we here until we die? If we say, We will enter into the city, then the famine is in the city, and we shall die there: and if we sit still here, we die also. Now therefore come, and let us fall unto the host of the Syrians: if they save us alive, we shall live; and if they kill us, we shall but die. And they rose up in the twilight, to go unto the camp of the Syrians: and when they were come to the uttermost part of the camp of Syria, behold, there was no man there. For the Lord had made the host of the Syrians to hear a noise of chariots, and a noise of horses, even the noise of a great host: and they said one to another, Lo, the king of Israel hath hired against us the kings of the Hittites, and the kings of the Egyptians, to come upon us. Wherefore they arose and fled in the twilight, and left their tents, and their horses, and their asses, even the camp as it was, and fled for their life. And when these lepers came to the uttermost part of the camp, they went into one tent, and did eat and drink, and carried thence silver, and gold, and raiment, and went and hid it; and came again, and entered into another tent, and carried thence also, and went and hid it. Then they said one to another, We do not well: this day is a day of good tidings, and we hold our peace: if we tarry till the morning light, some mischief will come upon us: now therefore come, that we may go and tell the king’s household.

Thus far, this is an amusing story. God made the Syrian arm to hear a noise of a army, casing them to flee for their lives, leaving their belongings and dwelling places. The lepers that happened upon the Syrians tents, found a “gold mine,” of goods and hid them for themselves.

2 Kings 7:10-12

So they came and called unto the porter of the city: and they told them, saying, We came to the camp of the Syrians, and, behold, there was no man there, neither voice of man, but horses tied, and asses tied, and the tents as they were. And he called the porters; and they told it to the king’s house within. And the king arose in the night, and said unto his servants, I will now shew you what the Syrians have done to us. They know that we be hungry; therefore are they gone out of the camp to hide themselves in the field, saying, When they come out of the city, we shall catch them alive, and get into the city.

Now, the King of Israel had no idea what the Lord had done for him. The King of Israel thought that they Syrian camp that was left abandoned was a trap of the Syrians to ensnare the city.

2 Kings 7:13-20

And one of his servants answered and said, Let some take, I pray thee, five of the horses that remain, which are left in the city, (behold, they are as all the multitude of Israel that are left in it: behold, I say, they are even as all the multitude of the Israelites that are consumed:) and let us send and see. They took therefore two chariot horses; and the king sent after the host of the Syrians, saying, Go and see. And they went after them unto Jordan: and, lo, all the way was full of garments and vessels, which the Syrians had cast away in their haste. And the messengers returned, and told the king. And the people went out, and spoiled the tents of the Syrians. So a measure of fine flour was sold for a shekel, and two measures of barley for a shekel, according to the word of the Lord. And the king appointed the lord on whose hand he leaned to have the charge of the gate: and the people trode upon him in the gate, and he died, as the man of God had said, who spake when the king came down to him.And it came to pass as the man of God had spoken to the king, saying, Two measures of barley for a shekel, and a measure of fine flour for a shekel, shall be to morrow about this time in the gate of Samaria:And that lord answered the man of God, and said, Now, behold, if the Lord should make windows in heaven, might such a thing be? And he said, Behold, thou shalt see it with thine eyes, but shalt not eat thereof. And so it fell out unto him: for the people trode upon him in the gate, and he died.

Do you understand the theme behind this story? When the man of God speaks, if they are a true man of God, do not questions what he says. The mindset of the people then was not obedience. The Lord wanted to show the King of Israel, that you need to be obedient. The city was blessed by the Word of a man. The God that we served blessed the whole city. The Syrian arm ran in fear because they thought the Israelites got assistance to fight against them. So, when men of God in your life speak, listen to them!

Who is Mentoring You?

John 15:1-7

I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman. Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit. Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you. Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me. I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing. If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned. If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.

Who is mentoring you has to do with how you were raised. Mentoring is a heavy responsibility. Mentoring is taken upon yourself the duties of guiding someone else’s life. If you can do this, you have somewhat of a control over them. Mentoring is the mimic of someone else, through either teacher or through influence.

Most mentors or leaders today don’t understand  why they go through so many problems in their lives. Mentors often don’t know how to mentor! Today people are mentoring or influencing others indirectly. You have to be selective about who you allow around you, because you can take on their characteristics. If that person whom you allow around you is “jacked up,” then you are acquiring bad characteristics. You are not being taught good things, your being taught a “personality.” We have leaders in the house of God mimicking their mentors who weren’t necessity good. Many people don’t realize that we make decisions based on what we want to do, not using the Word of God.

You have to be very careful who is in your sphere of absorption. The Word of God tells us to be in this world, but not of it. If your time is spent mostly around things of this world, you will simulate the world, and it will become a part of you. You will carry the spirit of the world. Now the sins of the world are a part of you. We absorb what is around us, whether we pay attention to it or not, because what we’ve heard or seen will show up later on in our lives, and infuse itself into what we say and do. Look at Paul, and who was in his sphere of absorption. He let select few in and because of that, he could hear God clearly and not with an ear that was mix up with someone else mess.

In the Church, we are suppose to teach the people that God is their mentor, directing them to God to be their mentor, not us to be their mentor. It is not about you or the pastor, its about God. But leaders take on the qualities of their mentor. If their mentor yelled and fussed at them, then they will yell and fuss at their congregation. We can not allow just anybody into our sphere of absorption; act anyway in our presence.

Cast not your Youth to the World, Serve Jesus While you Can

Don’t Cast Away your Youth to the World, but Serve the Lord While You can

Ecclesiastes 11:1-10, 12:1-14

Ecclesiastes 11:1-10

Cast thy bread upon the waters: for thou shalt find it after many days. Give a portion to seven, and also to eight; for thou knowest not what evil shall be upon the earth. If the clouds be full of rain, they empty themselves upon the earth: and if the tree fall toward the south, or toward the north, in the place where the tree falleth, there it shall be. He that observeth the wind shall not sow; and he that regardeth the clouds shall not reap. As thou knowest not what is the way of the spirit, nor how the bones do grow in the womb of her that is with child: even so thou knowest not the works of God who maketh all. In the morning sow thy seed, and in the evening withhold not thine hand: for thou knowest not whether shall prosper, either this or that, or whether they both shall be alike good. Truly the light is sweet, and a pleasant thing it is for the eyes to behold the sun: But if a man live many years, and rejoice in them all; yet let him remember the days of darkness; for they shall be many. All that cometh is vanity.  Rejoice, O young man, in thy youth; and let thy heart cheer thee in the days of thy youth, and walk in the ways of thine heart, and in the sight of thine eyes: but know thou, that for all these things God will bring thee into judgment. Therefore remove sorrow from thy heart, and put away evil from thy flesh: for childhood and youth are vanity.

This is talking about those who were once young who are now old. You once were in your teens, and now your in your twenties; you were once in your thirties and now your in your fifties or older. The Word of God is letting us know that, when you were in your youth did you think about the things of God? Most of the time the answer will be know. When you were in your youth did you think about where your life would be in the future? Again, some say no. Young men go out and try to find girls, and do things not conducive to their health. When your in your youth, you do things that are really daring. You think your impervious to death; you think you’ll live forever; you take no care for your life, and take dangerous chances. Not realizing that your whole life is being conducted by your surroundings. The Bible talks about being cheerful in your heart ,for young men of today you chase the girls, you dated many of girl and done thing you shouldn’t, you stole this…all these different things you did. The things is that you must remember when you get older, you shouldn’t still act with this same mentality and doing the same thing, the Word says in verse 9 “…but know thou, that for all these things God will bring thee into judgement.”

What have you done from your youth to now? What have you done in your life? What have you accomplished? Have you sought the God you heard others speak of? Have you even considered? Are you pursuing God, or the desires in this world for yourself? We who are in the Church tend to forget about our youths, allowing them to do certain things with the attitude that they will learn from their mistakes or with the mindset that that behavior is normal for youths. Yet, these youths same negative actions have followed them into their adulthood, and they are doing the same things. That same sin becomes generational. The Bible says in Proverbs 22:6 “train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.” If you have taught them negatively in the world, you will get negative results.

Dad’s have sons, and before that father understood the truth, he would tell his son “Its OK for the young man to go out and sow his oats.” It is not OK, because your messing up a young woman’s life, having intimate relations with her. Now she has nothing to offer the man who really truly falls in love with, so you have taken something away from her that can not be replaced. And after it all over the dad pats his son on the back, and say to his son good jobs as through it was a right of passage into man hood, but what about the young woman, what about her life what if she got pregnant or a std?.

In her youth as a young woman, she should take note of who she is and try to improve herself, she should be more conscientious of her lifestyle, not to have a loose lifestyle. She should have one of sobriety, understanding and wisdom. They say that a young woman matures faster than a young man. Yet why does she pursue a young man, knowing that he can’t do anything for her mentally, but only physically. Do you need to do this because your mother did the same, or your grandmother? The sins of disobedience parents will be passed down to the children. If you live in sin, the same generational curse will follow. Now you are insecure, or a gossip or a fornicator because your mother, grandmother, or family did the same things.

These are the indications of your youth that cause you to be bound, that cause you to have a different frame of mind about your life. You have the ability to decipher what is right or wrong, but it is being clouded by the one whom you are around. You need to understand that while you are in your youth, you need to seek out who God is. Are you 40, 30 or 20 and still act the same way as when you were 15? Have you grown? No. We have these issues that stem from the childhood; identity problems. Parents say “let the children be what they want to be, who they really are; themselves; we don’t believe anyone should interfere with who they want to be.” Yet the Bible says train up a child in the way they should go. Girls should be trained to be wives, and boy young men and then husbands. There is much confusion in the world. Titus 2:1-15

Children are in school more than they are at home approximately 8 hr.a day . So when they come home, they exhibit the characteristics of the one’s they been around at school the one’s that influence the most. If the teacher has a bad attitude or talks nasty to the students, then that child who is very impressionable, will mimic those bad things. So the children are subjected to the mentalities of individuals in the school out side the the one they have made friend with. So the school and there friends are raising your children to be hoodlums, homosexuals, bad attitudes, promiscuous, etc.

While in there youth, parents aren’t raising children to seek the Lord or even find out who He is. The youth which are the future generation are being destroyed and dying daily, so they can’t get chance to know or give God glory who created them.  They will  not be the next generation, that worships God in spirit with all their hearts, minds, and souls. There is a lack of genuine concern for our youth today and there right to live a human free from sin and death. As adults we need to bring the right elements around your children, so they’ll can grow up to pursue he one and only God or goals, to be better, to succeed; allow your child to be around some positive influences. Allow you children to be around someone who has a godly way of thinking.

while In your youth, pursue a mindset that goes after something that is good for you spiritually after God that is good for your soul which who you are. Don’t let allow your youth be mentored and go to wast by some family, friends, twitter, Facebook, TV, and Instagram, video games or jobs.

In conclusion, Ecclesiastes 11:8-10, 12:1

There are quite a few phrases that I use, but for this subject these three phrases speaks volumes to the truth of this matter, an they are: ” your are what you eat ”  naturally or spiritually and ”  what ever you around will always be around you ” and last ” never give up ,never surrender ”

Tearing Down the Walls in Your Life

The walls of Jericho…

You’ve heard the old song with these iconic lyrics “Joshua fit the battle of Jericho, and the walls come tumblin’ down,” a song which I believe Paul Robison sung. The song was about Joshua’s exploits after he’d crossed over the river Jordon. One of the places he’d run into was a walled city called Jericho, and before we get into this, lets learn about who Joshua was.

Joshua was the son of Nun, born “Oshe’a ben Nun, Num. 13:16 ” of the tribe of Ephraim in Egypt in the year 2406.  When Moses sent spies to canaan to scout the land, that was when Moses added the letter “yud” which mean (God will save) to Oshe’a name changing it to Yehoshu’a and in English “Joshua” as a prayer and giving the spies confidence in there mission as spies and that God would protect them from harm. Joshua died at the age of 110 in 1375 B.C. Incidentally, his name is the same as the Hebrew name of Jesus (Yeshua) which name is translated into English as Joshua. “But as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord,” was a famous quote by Joshua and was the model for his campaign as he led the Children of Israel to the promised land over the Jordan. The most important point in the book of Joshua is that you cannot worship false gods and remain faithful to the Lord.

Joshua was a man of God even bearing the same name of God, one might say that he was a type of presence of God among his people leading them to the promised land.  Moses was not allowed to cross over to see the promised land. He worked for years getting the people to the place that he was told about, only to wind up not being able to cross over himself because of a sin, that he had did before the God and the people and this is one of the most important thing that we most not forget.

If you look at the battle of Jericho, the name Jericho means his moon, sweet smelling. It was a representation of a moon god. Joshua 6:1-27 speaks of this.

Joshua 6:1-10

Now Jericho was straitly shut up because of the children of Israel: none went out, and none came in. And the Lord said unto Joshua, See, I have given into thine hand Jericho, and the king thereof, and the mighty men of valour. And ye shall compass the city, all ye men of war, and go round about the city once. Thus shalt thou do six days. And seven priests shall bear before the ark seven trumpets of rams’ horns: and the seventh day ye shall compass the city seven times, and the priests shall blow with the trumpets. And it shall come to pass, that when they make a long blast with the ram’s horn, and when ye hear the sound of the trumpet, all the people shall shout with a great shout; and the wall of the city shall fall down flat, and the people shall ascend up every man straight before him. And Joshua the son of Nun called the priests, and said unto them, Take up the ark of the covenant, and let seven priests bear seven trumpets of rams’ horns before the ark of the Lord. And he said unto the people, Pass on, and compass the city, and let him that is armed pass on before the ark of the Lord. And it came to pass, when Joshua had spoken unto the people, that the seven priests bearing the seven trumpets of rams’ horns passed on before the Lord, and blew with the trumpets: and the ark of the covenant of the Lord followed them. And the armed men went before the priests that blew with the trumpets, and the rereward came after the ark, the priests going on, and blowing with the trumpets. And Joshua had commanded the people, saying, Ye shall not shout, nor make any noise with your voice, neither shall any word proceed out of your mouth, until the day I bid you shout; then shall ye shout.

This is interesting because the Lord commanded Joshua concerning following instructions. This is what men don’t want to do a lot of times, is follow instructions. They want to do what they feel in there own mind what is best for them  to do. There is a formula in the structure of how God wanted things to be done a certain way . In the case of the walls of Jericho, Joshua and the people were to Circle that city once each time for 6 days. 6 is the number for man. The number 1 represents unity which is God number  (Deuteronomy 6:4,5) to be joined together, organized together as one, coming as one doing one purpose. On the 7th day compass the city 7 times. We know that the number 7 is designated as spiritual perfection or completeness. 7 trumpets, 7 priests, 7 marches around on the 7th day. All the 7’s, with the Ark of the Covenant as the presence of God among them, signifying what God has spoken, it has already been completed done in heaven and on earth now being a student of math, I saw these numbers relationship 6 days,6 times around plus one day and  7 time around : 7 days and 13 time around =20  ,20 in the number of the bible means expectancy. If we look at the number separately 7 ,represents : spiritual perfection, 13 represents: illl-omen, I call it Gods numbers destruction sequence, so there you have it, destruction was pronounce  on Jericho from God and it was nothing they or anybody could do about it, they were doom.

Physics, state that vibrations or voices or tones, will set up a resonant vibration or frequency in a object or material, for example: soldiers are told not to walk across a bridge in unison because it will cause the bridge to vibrate to it destruction. So take a closer look at the  vibration and voices and sound, then walls of Jericho came falling down and there was great victory for the children of Hebrew. But people don’t understand that there was a formula to cause the walls to come down. Walking around the city one day set up a harmonic vibration in the soil around the structure of the wall and the wall it self. Then 6 days of people how numbered almost a million, the people of Jericho probably thought that hebrew were strange and weird people. 7 horns blowing on the 7th day set up even more of a harmonic vibration. Then the voices of  almost a million people brought the final harmonic vibration that cause the walls of Jericho to disintegrate. God works with mathematics as well as with humans souls and spirits.

Joshua did what he was told to do from God and Moses, he didn’t question. Sometimes in our own lives, we can’t achieve what we want to do in God because we allow that “wall” in our lives to dominate what God has told us to do to destroy that wall. He gives us specific things to do to combat the problems we face in our ministries, families, relationships, jobs, etc, and we refuse to listen because of one thing: because its not done our way. If we  allow ourselves to control our lives, then we will go just where our lives would take us, nowhere. Joshua heard the words of God ,and was obedient and that day, called all the people together and said “look this is what we’re going to do. God told me that the victory is ours, that city is ours, but we have to follow the process.”

If you look the symmetry of the priest being in from, it parallels to today. The priest were announcing the presence of God coming forth, just as the pastors of today are doing the same. The Ark of the Covenant was after the priest to show that God has the victory over all. No matter what kind of situation goes on in your life, no matter what wall is keeping you back, from being who God wants you to be, He says “I am able to destroy that, if you follow the process.” Leaders can’t be leaders because they’re still held up by the same mentality that kept them bound by the same people who they were around or mentors who couldn’t get beyond who they were. So mentees tend to carry the sins of that mentor because he can’t help from teaching, because he hasn’t been set free from it. So, in all that, we catch leaders creating  leaders that are  clones of themselves with the same issues and problems that they have, causing other people under there leadership to have some of the  same issues. This causes others to continually be bound by that “wall,” that “Jericho,” in your life that you need to destroy. God says the only way you will destroy it, is to allow  Jesus (Joshua)the lord of our salvation to guide your feet to your victory. We can’t get any victory because we’re too worried about staying in defeat. Joshua heard the word, abided by it told it to the people and didn’t deviate from it.

Joshua was like the second Moses. Moses was in the old land, on the other side of the Jordan; Joshua became the obedient leader that God wanted in the new land. The Ark of the Covenant followed everywhere they went even when they walked into the land, the people heard that they carried and ark before them. Every nation that came against Israel was was utterly destroyed. So Jericho got confused. Now think of the power of God operating in your life, in that situation that causes you to be bound, that situation that causes you to be weary about trying to get over something. God has shown you how to tear down that wall, but you can’t listen because you believe more of what the situation might be, then you overcoming tha wall sistuation in your life. But God says there is nothing too hard for Him to overcome, we really don’t understand the power that He wants to give you will only come when you allow yourself to hear the victory in a battle or circumstance like Joshua did. People like to hold on to that “wall,” and build a memorial to it. They think that God gave them that “wall,” but if the Word of God can’t penetrate the wall, neither can it you, nor will you have the ability to grow.

In all that you do place God in the front. He will send the signal, blow the trumpet, allow him to destroy the wall so that you will see clearly what that wall was all about. You can destroy the wall with the power of God, by following the formula like Joshua did. If you want to walk around the mess in your life; write it on a piece of paper, set it on the floor and walk around it each day for 6 once, and on the 7th walk around it 7 times and on the 7th time shout the victory over that situation. When you shout mean it. You might say “who will carry the Ark?” The Ark…is you! His presence is in you. But if you need reassurance, take the Word and place it in your hand as you walk around. As you walk around that wall shout with the victory that the mess in your life has been destroyed. Joshua 6:1-16

Some may declare that you don’t have a wall. If that thing has been bothering you from day 1, bothering you life, ministry, walk around it. Say to God, this is the problem. Walk around that thing and as you walk, contemplate on the victory already happening, saying to God that He has the spiritual completeness over the situation. Whatever the thing may be, if its you that iscausing the problem, then God will  destroyed the mess in you! PPsalm 51:10

Moses gave up on the people; on God’s heritage. Even though he was a great leader, he gave up because the people burdened him so much. When God gave him instruction to speak to the rock to give water to the people, he instead smote the rock, called the people a name  for they worried so much. Moses was a leader of the people, and all that princely training he got did help him one bit, but he took responsibility on Himself instead of listening to God. That is why there is a difference between and Joshua spirit and a Moses spirit.

When God gives us instruction we should do what He tells us to do, not doubting. Completeness, spiritual perfection and completeness is what 7 stands for. When men become 1 under the direction of God, there is spiritual victory over any spiritual or natural problem. Are you ready for a wall to come down in your life? The Spirit of God begins to break down the situations in your life. The only time spiritual completeness will take place is when we let Him break down those walls freely, so that all the masks and hidden thing that you might have place in the back of you mind can be revealed, and all the mess will be destroyed in your life. We will be better leaders, fathers, individuals that God is asking us to be in these last days.

Be Joshua. Hear the Word of God. Allow it to activate. So you can do things that lead to spiritual completeness.
