My name is Pastor Tony Catron I graduate from K.S.U. with a degree in electronic/electrical engineering. While doing that I became a Junior Deacon and also a musician in my dad's ministry in Cleveland, Ohio. Years later, my career took me to Michigan where I worked as a Electrical/Electronic Engineer. While in Michigan I became a Minister, then later went to Seminary training at Birmingham Bible Institute and became an Elder at a large Pentecostal church in Michigan called LLCC. I was called to the ministry by God. So I headed up an outreach ministry based on the End Times, dealing with restoration in people lives. Then my dad called me back to Ohio to help him Pastor his church. During that time, God changed my outreach ministry, turning it into a full-time restoration ministry. He gave me the name Ark of Covenant Ministries and the rest is history.

The Church and Baptism

Part One About Baptism

Our bases for structure: Acts 1:4-5 And, being assembled together with them, commanded them that they should not depart from Jerusalem, but wait for the promise of the Father, which, saith he, ye have heard of me. 5 For John truly baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days hence. In Acts 1:5-8, Jesus uses the term Holy Ghost in regard to baptism.

When you look at the Holy Ghost and the Holy Spirit there is a difference. When Jesus is referring to the Spirit as sent from the Father (Acts 2:33, John 14:26) he uses the term Holy Spirit. When Jesus refers to Himself, as in Acts 1:4-5 He uses the Holy Ghost.

Romans 10:9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

This statement when isolated can be twisted to mean that someone can be saved by simply repeating these words. This is not true. This statement has to be looked at in context.

Baptism is needful for the remission of sins. But baptism is a symbolic burial with Christ. One must be conscious of why they are getting baptized. In Catholicism, infant baptism is done, however being an infant, the individual would not be aware of why they are being baptized. A person must first be convicted, repent, and be baptized in order to be saved. Before they are convicted, they had to have heard about Jesus and been taught about Him.

Where Do We Go From Here

Romans 12:1-12, 2 Corinthians 7:1-7, 1 Thessalonians 5, Ephesians 4:1-5

On this day, May the 23, where do you stand in Christ? Do you know your purpose, or God’s will  for your life? Have you taken the time to look back to see where you came from? Are you making preparation to not allow your past to become your future? Do you want to go back with him? Do you want to go through the tribulation period of Daniels 70 weeks?

1 Thessalonians 5:9
For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ,

How long shall you deny the move of God upon your soul? How long shall you fight against the same old mess that bound you before? If God be God serve Him, but if your God is Mammon (The Aramaic word for riches, personified by Jesus as a false god) than serve it. There are many demigods. Listed in the resources tab on our website are a listed of gods spoken of in the Bible, that are still active in peoples lives today. Under different names, products; these gods are known as the gods of old.  The word of God tells us how long halt you between two opinions? The bible tells us concerning our salvation that there is no name under heaven by which we must be saved except at the name of Jesus (Acts 4:12).

Acts 2:38
Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

People in faith, religion, and belief systems have watered down Christ or Yeshua in Hebrew, thereby taking away his validity, power and authority to govern the actions of men. It is their way of of not being held response and accountable for their sins. Its what we call their excuse not to serve God.

John 14:1-3
Let not your heart be troubled:ye believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father’s house are many mansions:if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.

John 15:7
If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.

The biggest question that we need to ask: are we in Him? If we’re not in him:
John 15:6
If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned.

You may be asking, how do I know if I am in Him or not? He mentions in the same chapter of John to know whether you are in him: John 15:1-2 I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman. Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away:and every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit.

The fruit is not melons nor mangoes nor bananas nor oranges in a basket, because you can get those anywhere; you can get organic fruit from whole foods. But its talking about the result of the hope that is in you testifying the word to those who would listen, changing their lives through the word of God. You can not talk to anyone and them not come to the word of God through your ministering. If you are in him you will love doing this. To know him is to love him and to love him is to serve him. So if Christ abides in you, then he will direct your path to the will he has for you to bring increase in the body. There is a certain excitement that goes when you witness about the hope and love in you for Christ. We need to understand that it is not about us, financial gain, having fun as the world does, but about delivering the Word of God to save men’s souls from themselves and from hell. I say again, once the word has been given to you what are you doing with it? He doesn’t want us to be zealous, but its for every man to recon to himself that he understands the word fully. We are to study to rightly divide the word of truth.

Just going around with a smile on your face saying you love the Lord and are excited about God is not telling someone you are saved. You have to show the people by the life, by your actions and walk. This will tell people if you are a child of God. In these days the word Christian has become synonymous with an evil things. They are trying in this society to eliminate the effectiveness more of being a Christian. True Children of God are Belivers, who walk by faith, not sight. The presence of God is forever in a Child of God’s life. He said he’d never leave nor for sake you. Sometimes it seems hard when we go through tests and trials and we want him to hold our hand non stop all the way through. When you were in school and it was time to take a test did your teacher stand beside you and give all the answers? In order for you to learn you have to go through on your own, but have faith the the resulting are going to be in your favor. Some people say its a faith walk; its more its a life walk.

That concludes this Sabbath day service. For those who have any questions kindly leave information at the end of the page. Next week we will do an end times study  on the Shemitah and the tribulation period.

What is Faith to you? Are You Operating in It?

Hebrews 10-11

Hebrews 10:1-4
“For the law having a shadow of good things to come, and not the very image of the things, can never with those sacrifices which they offered year by year continually make the comers thereunto perfect. For then would they not have ceased to be offered? because that the worshippers once purged should have had no more conscience of sins. But in those sacrifices there is a remembrance again made of sins every year. For it is not possible that the blood of bulls and of goats should take away sins.”

The animal sacrifices that were given for atonement of sin only stood until a person sinned again, at which point, another sacrifice would have to be made.

Hebrews 10:5-8
“Wherefore when he cometh into the world, he saith, Sacrifice and offering thou wouldest not, but a body hast thou prepared me: In burnt offerings and sacrifices for sin thou hast had no pleasure. Then said I, Lo, I come (in the volume of the book it is written of me,) to do thy will, O God. Above when he said, Sacrifice and offering and burnt offerings and offering for sin thou wouldest not, neither hadst pleasure therein; which are offered by the law;”

Christ is talking here.

Hebrews 10:9-14
Then said he, Lo, I come to do thy will, O God. He taketh away the first, that he may establish the second. By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all. And every priest standeth daily ministering and offering oftentimes the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins: But this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God; From henceforth expecting till his enemies be made his footstool. For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified.

Now, there is no more need of animal sacrifices that did not make the worshiper perfect, because Jesus’s blood took away sin once and for all.

Faith

Hebrews 11:5-6
By faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death; and was not found, because God had translated him:for before his translation he had this testimony, that he pleased God. But without faith it is impossible to please him:for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

Encoh’s testimony was his life. People know you by the life you live, and you should lead a life that pleases God. Faith was the pinnacle upon which every patriarch before Christ believed and trusted in God.

When you look at the word faith, faith is the allegiancy to duty or ones loyalty, or trust. Not being faithful means to be disloyal, not reliable, false, traitorous, treacherous; Substance means the essential nature essence; the fundamental essential part of. The word thing means, matter of concern deed act, a distinctive entity, work service or goods. The word hope means to desire, will, or expectation of fulfillment; to trust or have confidence in; to trust in safety. Evidence means and outward sign, proof, seen, observe, to note or discern , experience.

When you look at the 1st verst of Hebrews 11:1 and add these definitions in place of the words, the verse would read thusly:  “Now complete trust in God is the essential part of an act desired, for the outward signs of an act, not observed.” So in order to show faith in God, you have to COMPLETELY trust in Him.

Romans 10:17
So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

Complete trust comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God.

Being Aware of Who You Are Part 1

1 John 3:1-14

In verse 2, it says we shall be like Him. What does this mean? Who is being addressed? This particular letter was not addressed to any one group, but the specific use of the phrase little children denotes that at least it was addressed to believers of the faith in Christ Jesus. Also the fact of the author addressing the reader and himself as “sons of God” further validates this. Although we do not know specifics about what we will be like, when we see Him at the appointed time, we will know.

Verses 4-6 are very significant because they define what sin is. Sin is going against the law of God. What is the law of God? The 10 Commandments given at Mount Sinai (Exodus 20:1-17) Everything else a part from the 10 is commentary on the ten. The 10 are our basis and structure for what is right and wrong in the eyes of God.

Verses 7-9 say that we should not be deceived. A person who does righteously is righteous. If sin is the transgression of the law, then living out, practicing, and doing the law is what is defined as righteousness. If we sin (break the law) we are of Satan. This is why Christ was introduced to destroy the works of Satan (sin).

This message will continue next week…until then!
