Can You Keep Your Mind Still Long Enough to Hear Yeshua?

Sometimes when I would go to sit down to study, all of sudden, I would find that my mind had begun to drift into a wondering state of “what if’s”. It would proceed to curious thoughts of scenarios that would take my mind off of the main thing I should be focusing on. During that state of mind, one would lose track of time, causing the work that should have been finished in minutes, to take hours. In some way, this really portrays our state of mind. This is truly indicative of where our walk in Jesus is, with which some have gone astray, and have gone down the broad road, away from their christian life and understanding. The things we used to be fervently against, we now make exceptions for and make that thing inclusive, through a blurred unassociated understanding. In other words, one would try to give a misrepresentation of a meaning or understanding, which means your clear understanding of a thing would become blurred and confused. The Bible says, “As a man thinketh so is he” (Proverbs 23:7). That’s why it is so important that we think clearly with no confusion in our heart and mind.

In the book of Ecclesiastes 5:2-6

2 “Be not rash with thy mouth, and let not thine heart be hasty to utter any thing before God: for God is in heaven, and thou upon earth: therefore let thy words be few. 3 For a dream cometh through the multitude of business; and a fool’s voice is known by multitude of words. 4 When thou vowest a vow unto God, defer not to pay it; for he hath no pleasure in fools: pay that which thou hast vowed. 5 Better is it that thou shouldest not vow, than that thou shouldest vow and not pay. 6 Suffer not thy mouth to cause thy flesh to sin; neither say thou before the angel, that it was an error: wherefore should God be angry at thy voice, and destroy the work of thine hands?”

Let’s also read in the book of Colossians 4:5-6

5 “Walk in wisdom toward them that are without, redeeming the time. 6 Let your speech be always with grace, seasoned with salt, that ye may know how ye ought to answer every man.

Also, in the book of Isaiah 26:3-5

3 “Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee. 4 Trust ye in the Lord for ever: for in the Lord Jehovah is everlasting strength: 5 For he bringeth down them that dwell on high; the lofty city, he layeth it low; he layeth it low, even to the ground; he bringeth it even to the dust.”

In my conclusion, I will leave you with Psalm 46:10-11

10 “Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth. 11 The Lord of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge. Selah.”

Also, Isaiah 45:5-7

5 “I am the Lord, and there is none else, there is no God beside me: I girded thee, though thou hast not known me: 6 That they may know from the rising of the sun, and from the west, that there is none beside me. I am the Lord, and there is none else. 7 I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the Lord do all these things.”

Last but not least, turn to Philippians 4:6-9

6 “Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. 7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. 8 Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. 9 Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you.”

May the peace of God that all passes all understanding be with you all.

And it is so. Thank you.

What Are the Attributes of Life to Please God?

First, let’s look at the word ‘attributes’, what does that mean?

Attributes: “A quality or feature regarded as a characteristic or inherent part of someone or something.”

Now let’s take a look at the attributes of pleasing God. In order to operate in the deed or participate in the act of an action of that understanding, one needs to comprehend the full meaning and understanding of that statement presented. So the statement “Please God/Yeshua/Jesus”, let’s also look at the first word ‘please’. The word please means to take ones own wishes into consideration in deciding how to act or proceed, where the word ‘one’ can be replaced with the word God, Yeshua, or Jesus. So, the word please in this sentence would refer to the object of the statement, which would be God. So the meaning of the word please would read as follows: “To take God’s own wishes into consideration in deciding how to act or proceed in life.” For example, let’s look at Enoch.

Turn in your Bible to Hebrews 11:1-6:

1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. 2 For by it the elders obtained a good report. 3 Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear. 4 By faith Abel offered unto God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain, by which he obtained witness that he was righteous, God testifying of his gifts: and by it he being dead yet speaketh. 5 By faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death; and was not found, because God had translated him: for before his translation he had this testimony, that he pleased God. 6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

So, from these verses, what are the attributes that we can gain? The attributes would be:

1. Faith

2. Belief on God

3. Hope

Now these are some of the attributes that we found first, now let’s turn in your Bible to Ephesians 2:7-10:

7 That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus. 8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: 9 Not of works, lest any man should boast. 10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

Out of these versus we get these attributes:

4. Grace

5. Kindness

6. Walk

Now let’s turn to Mark 9:22-29

22 And ofttimes it hath cast him into the fire, and into the waters, to destroy him: but if thou canst do any thing, have compassion on us, and help us. 23 Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth. 24 And straightway the father of the child cried out, and said with tears, Lord, I believe; help thou mine unbelief. 25 When Jesus saw that the people came running together, he rebuked the foul spirit, saying unto him, Thou dumb and deaf spirit, I charge thee, come out of him, and enter no more into him. 26 And the spirit cried, and rent him sore, and came out of him: and he was as one dead; insomuch that many said, He is dead. 27 But Jesus took him by the hand, and lifted him up; and he arose. 28 And when he was come into the house, his disciples asked him privately, Why could not we cast him out? 29 And he said unto them, This kind can come forth by nothing, but by prayer and fasting.

From these versus we can deduce these attributes:

      7. Compassion

      8. Prayer

      9. Fasting

As we move on, let’s look at Matthew 15:22-28:

22 And, behold, a woman of Canaan came out of the same coasts, and cried unto him, saying, Have mercy on me, O Lord, thou son of David; my daughter is grievously vexed with a devil. 23 But he answered her not a word. And his disciples came and besought him, saying, Send her away; for she crieth after us. 24 But he answered and said, I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel. 25 Then came she and worshipped him, saying, Lord, help me. 26 But he answered and said, It is not meet to take the children’s bread, and to cast it to dogs. 27 And she said, Truth, Lord: yet the dogs eat of the crumbs which fall from their masters’ table. 28 Then Jesus answered and said unto her, O woman, great is thy faith: be it unto thee even as thou wilt. And her daughter was made whole from that very hour.

So, from these versus the one key attribute worth a cause to action in Yeshua Jesus is:

      10. Worship

So, now we have 10 of the most important attributes of how to please God/Yeshua/Jesus.

In my conclusion, listen to the true voice of God, follow the attributes and you can please God. Thank you and bless the name of our God.

The Impatient Heart Will Drive You Away from Yeshua’s Heart

How many times, you being impatient, caused you to make the wrong decision in life? How many times has your impatience made you come to the wrong conclusion about someone or something? How many of you have turned away from the truth due to the lack of patience to wait to hear from Yeshua Jesus? These are not so much as questions, as they are more indictments to the followers of Christ. Every mistake or indiscriminate decision you have made, or the outcome you have experienced, came not always being tied to others or demonic influence. Why can’t we ever take full responsibility for the lack of patience and faith in Christ? To some, they may say that it was the circumstances that happened in life that caused them to be where they are today.

In the Word of God, in the book of Philippians 4:5-8:

5Let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand. 6Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. 8 Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.

There are four attributes of the impatient mind that you should be on the look out for:

  1. Curiosity of the heart & mind
  2. Self awareness of one’s free will
  3. The willingness & openness to receive understanding from any source
  4. Letting down your guard to your mind & soul

Let’s turn to James 1:12-21:

12Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him. 13Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man: 14But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed. 15Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death.16Do not err, my beloved brethren. 17Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.18Of his own will begat he us with the word of truth, that we should be a kind of firstfruits of his creatures.19Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath: 20For the wrath of man worketh not the righteousness of God. 21 Wherefore lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness, and receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls.

In my conclusion, even in the last days before His coming, we are to be patient.

Let’s read Luke 21:12-19:

12But before all these, they shall lay their hands on you, and persecute you, delivering you up to the synagogues, and into prisons, being brought before kings and rulers for my name’s sake.13And it shall turn to you for a testimony. 14Settle it therefore in your hearts, not to meditate before what ye shall answer: 15For I will give you a mouth and wisdom, which all your adversaries shall not be able to gainsay nor resist.16And ye shall be betrayed both by parents, and brethren, and kinsfolks, and friends; and some of you shall they cause to be put to death.17And ye shall be hated of all men for my name’s sake.18But there shall not an hair of your head perish. 19In your patience possess ye your souls.

I thank you all for taking the time out to hear me.

What is Your Story & How Will it End?

The Story.

Every body has a story, whether good or bad. Nevertheless, it’s what a person has been through. Nobody know’s your story, nor will they be able to understand you or why you are the way you are. In every narrative of your life, there is a structure of the sequence of all the events or plots of your life. The Narrative structure of who you are or where you’ve come from is almost an enigma to others but also even to you as well. So as you try to figure out who you are in this life and world, there is always someone that is trying to change the narrative of you story. If that isn’t enough, if your own understand of the plots or the structure has been guided by the wrong events in your narrative, your whole story will be compromised even to you. In layman’s terms, your epilogue will be read through the eyes and heart of someone else’s narrative.

The older generation leaves us with these word: “May the life I live speak for me.” It’s really ironic, that the life I lived may have been determined by the influence of others. Wouldn’t that be a sad epithet on your grave stone? It would read something like this: “Here lies so-and-so, who lived their life according to the thoughts and opinions of others.” That’s not a good epithet is it? Your life is too short lived, likened unto grass; to be bothered by the lies an foolishness of others.

Even in the Bible reads in the book of: 1 Peter 1:24 “For all flesh is as grass, and all the glory of man as the flower of grass. The grass withereth, and the flower thereof falleth away:”

Now seeing that we are allowing the influence of this world to change our narrative and to determine our end, where do you stand? Who has changed your story?

15 Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. 16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. 17 And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever. 18 Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time.

1 John 2:15-18

In my conclusion, take this with you: Time is short and the days are not long.

27 And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment: 28 So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation.

Hebrews 9:27-28

15 While it is said, To day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts, as in the provocation.

Hebrews 3:15

1 Let us therefore fear, lest, a promise being left us of entering into his rest, any of you should seem to come short of it. 2 For unto us was the gospel preached, as well as unto them: but the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard it. 3 For we which have believed do enter into rest, as he said, As I have sworn in my wrath, if they shall enter into my rest: although the works were finished from the foundation of the world. 4 For he spake in a certain place of the seventh day on this wise, And God did rest the seventh day from all his works. 5 And in this place again, If they shall enter into my rest. 6 Seeing therefore it remaineth that some must enter therein, and they to whom it was first preached entered not in because of unbelief: 7 Again, he limiteth a certain day, saying in David, To day, after so long a time; as it is said, To day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts. 8 For if Jesus had given them rest, then would he not afterward have spoken of another day. 9 There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God. 10 For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his. 11 Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief.

Hebrews 4:1-11

If People Are Being Tossed to and Fro by Every Wind, What Wind Is in Your Sails?

This topic brings to mind a sail ship with massive sails moving across the open sea, the massive sails catching the wind as the ship is being carried about over the sea by the wind. Sailors have even given the winds their own name, hence the term trade-wind. Sometimes these winds can be very strong and can carry the ship the way they’re blowing.

In some ways I can’t help but compare this to all the people in the world today who are claiming to be Christian but their walk does not typify the life of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. While many people are claiming to be a Child of the King, why is it that all of these so called Christians don’t speak the same things or live the same way? They don’t read the same Bible or the Word of God, but they say that they are of the same belief. This alone to me seems to be an oxymoron.

The average so called Christians today are some of the most prideful, arrogant, self-absorbed, greedy, not helping the needy, condemning individuals in the world today. Yet none of the characteristic that they display are of the attributes of Jesus Christ at all. Jesus describes what a Christian should be like, not pretend to be. We are supposed to be examples for the world like Christ was. In the Bible He wants us all to be the same.

10 Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you; but that ye be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment.

1 Corinthians 1:10

Its sad to say that the portrait that most of these so called Christians are painting exhibits who they really serve: their father Satan the liar. If your life is a lie and you are a pretender or perpetrating a life of someone or thing, then your life is a lie. Jesus said no liar will tarry in His sight.

He that worketh deceit shall not dwell within my house: he that telleth lies shall not tarry in my sight.

Psalms 101:77

Jesus also said the all liars will have their part in the lake of fire. These are the type of people who are easily deceived by this world or by every favorable word or doctrine. Just like that sail that is fill by strong wind, they become tossed all about. You need to ask yourself, “what wind is in your sails?”

For the real Christian or Child of God, in the book of Ephesians 4:14 it reads: 14 That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive;

We should know better and know our Lord and Savior’s voice and obey it. In my conclusion, I’ll leave you with James 1:1-27.

1 James, a servant of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ, to the twelve tribes which are scattered abroad, greeting. 2 My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations; 3 Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience. 4 But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing. 5 If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him. 6 But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed. 7 For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord. 8 A double minded man is unstable in all his ways. 9 Let the brother of low degree rejoice in that he is exalted: 10 But the rich, in that he is made low: because as the flower of the grass he shall pass away. 11 For the sun is no sooner risen with a burning heat, but it withereth the grass, and the flower thereof falleth, and the grace of the fashion of it perisheth: so also shall the rich man fade away in his ways. 12 Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him. 13 Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man: 14 But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed. 15 Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death. 16 Do not err, my beloved brethren. 17 Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning. 18 Of his own will begat he us with the word of truth, that we should be a kind of firstfruits of his creatures. 19 Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath: 20 For the wrath of man worketh not the righteousness of God. 21 Wherefore lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness, and receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls. 22 But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves. 23 For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass: 24 For he beholdeth himself, and goeth his way, and straightway forgetteth what manner of man he was. 25 But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed. 26 If any man among you seem to be religious, and bridleth not his tongue, but deceiveth his own heart, this man’s religion is vain. 27 Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world.

James 1:1-27

In Jesus name, it is So.
