While in a Storm, Whose Report Will You Believe Jesus or Men

In this world of misdirection of one’s own understanding, along with the controlling thoughts of others, man’s heart has turned colder and hard. People are so into themselves and have their own form of salvation. This is not according to the Word of God, but it’s according to their own form of knowledge that is derived from the hurt and pain they have endured, over the different types of emotional and irrational events in their life, or from the life of others. These kind of things in peoples lives will cause people to doubt Jesus words or even that He is who He said He is.

This type will begin to establish their own type of righteousness using an augmented form of the words of Jesus and will then will try to control others or convince them to follow their way of understanding, leading them into a from of holiness that is not from the Lord, but from their own form of ungodliness. In this world, this has become the norm for a lot of people.

5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away. 6 For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts, 7 Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth. 8 Now as Jannes and Jambres withstood Moses, so do these also resist the truth: men of corrupt minds, reprobate concerning the faith.

2 Timothy 3:5-8

Why is it that out of hurt and revenge, coupled with a broken heart and trust issues, that people tend to drag others into their pain and anguish?Living that emotional event in their life over and over, thereby creating the perfect storm in their life. Storms tend to draw everything around them in to their midst. Anything that comes in contact with a storm gets destroyed as well. We all know if we are caught in someone else’s storm. You may ask yourself, “How would I know if I’m caught in somebody’s else storm?” You need to ask yourself these question:

  1. Do you find yourself upset when you’re around the thing that person doesn’t like?
  2. When you are around that individual who has a storm, are your emotions heighten?
  3. Are you a dumping ground for their disgust or are you their sounding board?
  4. Do you feel heavy and spiritual depleted after leaving them?
  5. Is their lifestyle a Godly one?
  6. Do you feel you have to repent after having been with them?
  7. Do they always find fault with real people of God?

So I’m asking all of you…who’s report do you believe? If you start believing the word of the ungodly, then their perfect storm will begin to distort your view of God’s love. You might ask, “What shall I do?”

14 Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness? 15 And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel? 16 And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. 17 Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you, 18 And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.

2 Corinthians 6:14-18

I’ll leave you with why we do what we do for Christ.

1 Who hath believed our report? and to whom is the arm of the Lord revealed? 2 For he shall grow up before him as a tender plant, and as a root out of a dry ground: he hath no form nor comeliness; and when we shall see him, there is no beauty that we should desire him. 3 He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not. 4 Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. 5 But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed. 6 All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the Lord hath laid on him the iniquity of us all. 7 He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth: he is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so he openeth not his mouth. 8 He was taken from prison and from judgment: and who shall declare his generation? for he was cut off out of the land of the living: for the transgression of my people was he stricken. 9 And he made his grave with the wicked, and with the rich in his death; because he had done no violence, neither was any deceit in his mouth. 10 Yet it pleased the Lord to bruise him; he hath put him to grief: when thou shalt make his soul an offering for sin, he shall see his seed, he shall prolong his days, and the pleasure of the Lord shall prosper in his hand. 11 He shall see of the travail of his soul, and shall be satisfied: by his knowledge shall my righteous servant justify many; for he shall bear their iniquities. 12 Therefore will I divide him a portion with the great, and he shall divide the spoil with the strong; because he hath poured out his soul unto death: and he was numbered with the transgressors; and he bare the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors.
