If You’re in a Panic Due to COVID, Why Not With a Virus of Sin?

As COVID-19 has ravaged our nation, many people are really seeing the devastating affects on lives. People are being so effected by this virus that they literally will do just about anything to keep from getting it. And on the other hand, there are those who don’t even believe that it is real. So they will go about not following any of the warnings that the medical scientist have publicized. They would go about being the very ones who would go around buying up and hoarding all the supplies and then selling them at exuberant price. For example, one man went around to 3 states, buying all of the hand sanitizer, thinking as an opportunist would to make a profit. Another individual bought up most of the paper supplies, and another bought up all the masks in the first few months of the pandemic. Oftentimes tough situations bring out the real heart in a person. Sheer panic, usually leads to a sudden change in character and personality. Sometimes ours good deeds are not good enough because the intention of our heart in doing the deeds, stems from a subjugated heart. The word of God has this to say about it in Luke 6:43-49:

43 For a good tree bringeth not forth corrupt fruit; neither doth a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. 44 For every tree is known by his own fruit. For of thorns men do not gather figs, nor of a bramble bush gather they grapes. 45 A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is evil: for of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh. 46 And why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say? 47 Whosoever cometh to me, and heareth my sayings, and doeth them, I will shew you to whom he is like: 48 He is like a man which built an house, and digged deep, and laid the foundation on a rock: and when
the flood arose, the stream beat vehemently upon that house, and could not shake it: for it was founded upon a rock. 49 But he that heareth, and doeth not, is like a man that without a foundation built an house upon the earth; against which the stream did beat vehemently, and immediately it fell; and the ruin of that house was great.

Now it amazing how in this pandemic some people are afraid of the person next to them, even people in their own family. So they try their best to find many types of ways to protect themselves. This is due to the fact that when people are faced with the an imminent and present danger, they
quickly change to self-preservation and the preservation of their loved ones. But when the threat is of a lesser and slower subverting nature, we take a lackadaisical mind set about the threat that is killing us ever so slowly through subjugation and cunningness. Why is this?

Matthew 16:24-28
24 Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me. 25 For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it. 26 For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul? 27 For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels; and then he shall reward every man according to his works. 28 Verily I say unto you, There be some standing here, which shall not taste of death, till they see the Son of man coming in his kingdom.

In my conclusion, remember Philippians 4:6-13:
6 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. 7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. 8 Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are
of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. 9 Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you.
10 But I rejoiced in the Lord greatly, that now at the last your care of me hath flourished again; wherein ye were also careful, but ye lacked opportunity. 11 Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content. 12 I know both how to be
abased, and I know how to abound: every where and in all things I am instructed both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need. 13 I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.

Now that you have heard, go live and perform the has purpose Jesus has for your life. Selah.

Shall We Continue in the Confusion of Our Flesh While Wearing the Blindfold of Sin?

All of us at one time or another have walked into another persons mess in life, only to whine up being involved. Or we have walked into a persons problematic life, only being stuck in their mess, maybe reaping the punishment of somebody’s else’s sin, either by emotional attachment to
that person or the revenge for that person or their cause. How many of you have been placed in a situation and “a side” had already had been chosen for you? Picture this: you walked into a deal that you thought was the right thing to do; it sounded and felt good and others were involved. So you leapt before you looked.

Proverbs 4:7 says, “Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding.”

Proverbs 3:5-7 also tells us, “Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the LORD, and depart from evil.

In this process of life, there are four things to weigh before making a move in any situation in life:

  1. Weighting the importance of it. “Purpose”
  2. Is there a need of it “Understanding”
  3. What will be the cost physically, mentally and spiritually “The impact”
  4. Seek advice “Pray about it”

Know this, wisdom, understanding, humility and being lead by the teaching of the Bible is not subjugation, but is the mind of Jesus and is how humanity should be.

Subjugation means: the action of bringing someone or something under domination or control.

Examples of subjugation can be found in witchcraft, social media, medical commercials and high pressure salesmen. In life, one can not base their life walk on just what they know or how they feel. Most of us have not had the opportunity of not being free from subjugation.

Proverbs 21:2 says, ” Every way of a man is right in his own eyes: but the LORD pondereth the hearts.” Further, Proverbs 16:25 says, “There is a way that seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.”

In my conclusion read Hebrews 10:22-27
22 Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water. 23 Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;) 24 And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works: 25 Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves
together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching. 26 For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins, 27 But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries.

1 What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound?2 God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein? 3 Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death? 4 Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. 5 For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the
likeness of his resurrection: 6 Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin. 7 For he that is dead is freed from sin. 8 Now if we be dead with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with him: 9 Knowing that Christ being raised from the dead dieth no more; death hath no more dominion over him. 10 For in that he died, he died unto sin once: but in that he liveth, he liveth unto God. 11 Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord. 12 Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey it in the lusts thereof. 13 Neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God. 14 For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace. 15 What then? shall we sin, because we are not under the law, but under grace? God forbid. 16 Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness? 17 But God be thanked, that ye were the servants of sin, but ye have obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine which was delivered you. 18 Being then made free from sin, ye became the servants of righteousness. 19 I speak after the manner of men because of the infirmity of your flesh: for as ye have yielded your members servants to uncleanness and to iniquity unto iniquity; even so now yield your members servants to righteousness unto holiness. 20 For when ye were the servants of sin, ye were free from righteousness. 21 What fruit had ye then in those things whereof ye are now ashamed? for the end of those things is death. 22 But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life. 23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Selah. In Jesus name it is So!

Now That the Pandemic Is Passing, Where Did It Leave Your Faith?

When storms come our way in life, we tend to weigh our lives by or walk by the severity and type storm. Often times we measure ourselves or our Christian walk by outside influences or internal conflicts. In this world, this human mindset is now the norm, and reason, humility, honor, and common sense are becoming a rarity not only in this world but also in the Church. Most people in society today will speak of how great a world it would be if we could get rid of the evil in the world to stop all the violent people who commit evil. But I say that the first step in cleaning up our society starts when you begin by restoring yourself from your subjugated life styles.

Mark 4:17-19 says, “And have no root in themselves, and so endure but for a time: afterward, when affliction or persecution ariseth for the word’s sake, immediately they are offended. And these are they which are sown among thorns; such as hear the word, And the cares of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, and the lusts of other things entering in, choke the word, and it becometh unfruitful.”

As we begin to slowly reincorporate back into the hands of our sometimes hectic, chaotic life, what do we learn from the experience? Have you become a saint or maybe more of an “‘aint”? One thing that all of us fail to realize is that the pandemic has not ended but just begun, that the pandemic of sin and faithlessness is right beside disbelief, which most
people in society, as well as the children of God, have been overtaken by.

Romans 7:14-20
14 For we know that the law is spiritual: but I am carnal, sold under sin. 15 For that which I do I allow not: for what I would, that do I not; but what I hate, that do I. 16 If then I do that which I would not, I consent unto the law that it is good. 17 Now then it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me. 18 For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwelleth no good thing: for to will is present with me; but how to perform that which is good I find not. 19 For the good that I would I do not: but the evil which I would not, that I do. 20 Now if I do that I would not, it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me.

As Paul has put it, it’s the constant struggles of our mortal flesh in direct conflict with our soul. Why halt you between to opinions? If you believe Jesus is God and that He is will do what He said he’d do or if you won’t believe He will do, then why keep playing Christian? If you want to do the worldly thing, then do it wholeheartedly.

In my conclusion, I’ll leave you with these words found in 1 Peter 4:7-13:
7 But the end of all things is at hand: be ye therefore sober, and watch unto prayer. 8 And above all things have fervent charity among yourselves: for charity shall cover the multitude of sins. 9 Use hospitality one to another without grudging. 10 As every man hath received the gift, even so minister the same one to another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God. 11 If any man speak, let him speak as the oracles of God; if any man minister, let him do it as of the ability which God giveth: that God in all things may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom be praise and dominion for ever and ever. Amen. 12 Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you: 13 But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ’s sufferings; that, when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy.

A Sinful Act Leaves a Trail and a Residue in a Personal Life

As a hunter goes out into the bushier woods, he’s constantly on the lookout for broken branches, prey trails and signs of the prey’s tracks to determine what type of prey it is. In like manner, when a detective is looking for a criminal, he looks for signs of a crime that have been committed by the accused. The detective looks for clues and signs of the accuse’s involvement in said crime, by seeking out evidence that makes up a trail of the accuse’s whereabouts during the time of the alleged incident. This in turn could prove the accused innocent or guilty. So then the detective begins to bring out his tools of the trade by checking with eye witness. Then he will start dusting for finger prints to see if the accused was even Present at the time. If they find items on the site, then they will bring out the dogs who will use their keen sense of smell to track down the suspect.

People need to understand that your life’s walk in this world leaves a trail and a residue weather good or bad. Every trail has a sign of tracks that tell what types of activities and situations that have transpired in that person life. If you didn’t know, demonic spirits keeps records of all your ungodly activities at all times, weather you’re Christian or not. If this is what demons are doing, what do think the angels in heaven are doing?

Luke 8:16-18 says, “No man, when he hath lighted a candle, covereth it with a vessel, or putteth it under a bed; but setteth it on a candlestick, that they which enter in may see the light. For nothing is secret, that shall not be made manifest; neither any thing hid, that shall not be known and come abroad. Take heed therefore how ye hear: for whosoever hath, to him shall be given; and whosoever hath not, from him shall be taken even that which he seemeth to have.”

You must under stand that the Lord’s eyes are upon you all you say, all you think and all you do.

Proverbs 5:21 says, “For the ways of man are before the eyes of the LORD,
and he pondereth all his goings.”

Matthew 7:13-14 states, “Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.”

In my conclusion, I’ll direct you to Matthew 10:22-28:

22 And ye shall be hated of all men for my name’s sake: but he that endureth to the end shall be saved. 23 But when they persecute you in this city, flee ye into another: for verily I say unto you, Ye shall not have gone over the cities of Israel, till the Son of man be come. 24 The disciple is not above his master, nor the servant above his lord. 25 It is enough for the disciple that he be as his master, and the servant as his lord. If they have called the master of the house Beelzebub, how much more shall they call them of his household? 26 Fear them not therefore: for there is nothing covered, that shall not be revealed; and hid, that shall not be known. 27
What I tell you in darkness, that speak ye in light: and what ye hear in the ear, that preach ye upon the housetops. 28 And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.

The Pattern in Life That Binds Us, Is the Architectural Structures for Sin

We all are acquainted with some of the following words in some form or another:

  1. Habit
  2. Compulsions
  3. Weakness
  4. Addiction
  5. Style
  6. Way
  7. Tendency
  8. Tradition
  9. Routine
  10. Practice

Has anyone been apart of or seen these words in action in your life or others? In times past, all of us have tried to understand or maybe explain away individuals who we know or have met in our lives. Due to the way their lifestyles were irrational or seemed to be repugnant (extremely distasteful and unacceptable) that appear in ways to be unstable and unfounded.

If you can understand this, sin is a learned behavior and has an architectural pattern. The list above will gradually lead you into bandages know as sins. Sin is an immoral act against the divine law the of the only true living God of the Bible. Once sin has invaded the mind, it encapsulate the whole body. In other words, sin just doesn’t stay in your mind it causes all parts of you body to desire a sinful nature at all times. Once sin has invaded you whole body, your soul which is the real you will start to be contaminated, thereby causing you to be separated from the Creator, the only wise, loving true God [Yahweh] over any other gods. Sin always starts out as a small, little, insignificant event and if it is not controlled and you fail to understand how major of a event that little event is, to ignore or brush it aside will have great significance later on in your life.

Know this, that patterns need to be fed and require complete compliance and adherence to it’s architectural structure. That why drugs aren’t addictive, but rather it’s the adherence to the pattern with help from emotions and expectation of gratification that is the addiction. So if you see yourself falling into a pattern over something or someone, you really need to pause a moment, observe and evaluate your actions, then drop to your knees and begin to pray.

Let’s see what the Bible has to say about this:

Read Ephesians 5:1-33

Also in the book of Proverbs 16:27-30

27 An ungodly man diggeth up evil:
and in his lips there is as a burning fire.
28 A froward man soweth strife:
and a whisperer separateth chief friends.
29 A violent man enticeth his neighbour,
and leadeth him into the way that is not good.
30 He shutteth his eyes to devise froward things:
moving his lips he bringeth evil to pass.

1 John 2:15-18

15 Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. 16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. 17 And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.
18 Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time.
