While Caught in the Midst of Indecisiveness

Have you ever been in a situation, where the easiest decision, became the hardest one? Or maybe you were caught in the middle of an argument, where both parties were trying to get you to see their side or trying to make you feel guilty? Sometimes it might be dealing with food. You know, when it comes to that last piece of candy, cake or cookie. But one of the most profound and challenging things in this world for any human being is being indecisive in our lives! On that note, here are the most sought after answers to these four questions in are life: A. Who am I B. Why am I here C. Where do I belong D. What is my purpose.

While in search of the answer to these questions, sometimes we fall prey to others or even to ourselves. If you’re not careful, you might windup making the wrong decision. As the old saying goes, “you may windup going to the school of hard knocks.” In other words, sometimes painful and real negative experiences which lead to a lot of bad mistakes in life.

5 Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. 6 In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. 7 Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the Lord, and depart from evil.

Proverbs 3:5-7

2 Every way of a man is right in his own eyes: but the Lord pondereth the hearts.

Proverbs 21:2

When you are in a state of indecisiveness, you’re leaving an open door for demonic influence, and that might cause you to make the wrong decisions for your life. Now if I can get you to just take a step back for a moment. Now think back at some of the most negative events that went wrong because of a low point in our life. Do you remember the memory that you just can’t get over? It keeps rearing its ugly head. Now just ponder over whether the outcome was good or bad. Now over the decision you made who can help you made your decision now? Do some of you see a pattern in some of your indecisiveness?

37 But let your communication be, Yea, yea; Nay, nay: for whatsoever is more than these cometh of evil.

Matthew 5:37

In my conclusion, you have to have a clear understanding and not be caught up in an indecisive state, because in that state there is only confusion and double mindedness.

2 My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations; 3 Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience. 4 But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing. 5 If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him. 6 But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed. 7 For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord. 8 A double minded man is unstable in all his ways. 9 Let the brother of low degree rejoice in that he is exalted: 10 But the rich, in that he is made low: because as the flower of the grass he shall pass away. 11 For the sun is no sooner risen with a burning heat, but it withereth the grass, and the flower thereof falleth, and the grace of the fashion of it perisheth: so also shall the rich man fade away in his ways. 12 Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him. 13 Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man: 14 But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed. 15 Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death.

James 1:2-15

21 And Elijah came unto all the people, and said, How long halt ye between two opinions? if the Lord be God, follow him: but if Baal, then follow him. And the people answered him not a word.

1 Kings 18:21

While in the Press We Should Always Do Our Best, Nothing Less

As humans we’re going to encounter conflicts, hardships, pains and sufferings in one situation or another. Sometimes in ways brought on by us, and we all know how the story goes. One miss placed word or statement, maybe a gesture or even the way of your body language. In these times, people are so sensitive over the smallest of matters, in some cases they are waiting for you to make mistakes so that they can capitalize on them, as a way to point their finger at your inadequacy, or even your personality so they can spread negative accusations concerning you and your life. Situations and events of this kind have often caused problems and brought misery to family, friends, jobs and relations, not to mention you and others personal lives. When your are going through pressure or stress or painful problems in your life, you should look at where that situation stems from. In other words, get to the root of it. In the life of a Saint or Child of Jesus Christ, we are not to let the cares and the emotional pit falls of highs an lows in our lives dictate our sense of existence or our Christ walk. Even every human being in this world shouldn’t allow pressure, stress and emotional tides of highs and lows to dictate existence.

These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.

John 16:33

As true Christians, you can’t allow the stress and pressures of this world to control you or your walk. Philippians 4:6 tells every Child of Jesus Christ to be cautious about things and go to Jesus to get the answer. As we are children of the light, we need to walk like the light we represent and not talk or speak about what the light is doing.

6 Let no man deceive you with vain words: for because of these things cometh the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience. 7 Be not ye therefore partakers with them. 8 For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light:

Ephesians 5:6-8

1 I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman. 2 Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit. 3 Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you. 4 Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me. 5 I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing. 6 If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned. 7 If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you. 8 Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples. 9 As the Father hath loved me, so have I loved you: continue ye in my love. 10 If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father’s commandments, and abide in his love. 11 These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full. 12 This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you. 13 Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends. 14 Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you. 15 Henceforth I call you not servants; for the servant knoweth not what his lord doeth: but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard of my Father I have made known unto you. 16 Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you. 17 These things I command you, that ye love one another. 18 If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you. 19 If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you. 20 Remember the word that I said unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord. If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you; if they have kept my saying, they will keep yours also. 21 But all these things will they do unto you for my name’s sake, because they know not him that sent me. 22 If I had not come and spoken unto them, they had not had sin: but now they have no cloke for their sin.

John 15:1-22

Let all who read get a clear understanding of what Jesus is asking of us to do. Take care, and it is so!

It’s Only a Test to See Where You’re At

In other arenas some call it a wake up call. Has there ever been a time in your life were it
seems like nothing was going right for you? It appears that ever time you take two steps
forward, sometimes it fills like you got kicked a yard backward. Even when you just got freed from a
thing, here comes a person, place or thing popping back up in your life again, trying to remind you
of what you did in the past. Then all of a sudden your mind starts to reminisce of what had
transpired in your past, weather good or bad, and the more you reflect on the past, you begin to
live in that past again, drawing from all the emotions, either good or bad. Then once
again you’re bound, forever looking behind you, never in front of you. As you know no one can ever
grow in their life looking behind themselves. Even as the Bible say that a person can’t plow
their field looking back (Luke 9:62).

Luke 9:59-62
And he said unto another, Follow me. But he said, Lord, suffer me first to go and bury my father. Jesus said unto him, Let the dead bury their dead: but go thou and preach the kingdom of God. And another also said, Lord, I will follow thee; but let me first go bid them farewell, which are at home at my house. And Jesus said unto him, No man, having put his hand to the plough, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God.

“It’s just a test too see where you’re at!”

When you look at the word “It’s”: This denotes an advent in your life that has caused you to slow
down or even halts your process in your Psyche (soul or mind) but heighten your sense.

Now when we look at the word TEST: which is the procedure intended to establish the quality
performance, or reliability of something before wide spread use.

Now in the case of a Christian it is becoming self-awareness in your Spiritual walk and growth before the Lord can use you. You must remember Jesus is making you into someone He can use for the kingdom but
breaking and disconnecting from your attachment to this world. So if your going through any situation and it seems like there is no end and no answer, just remember that the Lord Jesus will not put no more on you then you can bear without giving you a way of escape.

1 Corinthians 10:13
There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.

We must remember that Jesus is making a new creature in you for Him; a vessel that holy and acceptable for His use and His will. What greater faith and love the Lord Jesus has in us to make us just like Him?!

Example:
The old samurai sword maker spent months and sometime even years to make the ultimate
sword that any emperor or king would use and pass down through out generations. The blade
would be almost perfect. But the process to achieve that end takes a lot of heating, folding,
beating, cooling over and over again; thousands of time over months and years. Don’t refuse the heat and don’t refuse the beating. In other words don’t complain because of your tests or your trials of temptation, health, finance, and any affairs of the heart.

James 1:1-4
James, a servant of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ, to the twelve tribes which are scattered abroad, greeting. My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations; Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience. But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.

He will not put nothing on you that will cause you to sin or to turn from Him. We just have to see it through to the end no matter what. He already saw the best in you when you on saw the worst in you. You saw failure and He saw victory in you. Remember your are that samurai sword that’s being made into perfection, ready to be used by the king of glory!

What is Our Disposition in God, During Our Situations?

How are you coping with the situation you are in now? Are you excited about it? Well, no one can be excited about being in a problem, situation, event or something detrimental to their health. No one can be happy in a trial. “Yes, Lord give me more!” No one can be like that. The disposition we go through now is how we handle it in our mindset towards God. “God why are You doing this?” we ask. Sometimes we get into the groves of life (every life is not a straight line) not knowing how far one point is from another. We get upset and ask God “why am I going through this,” or “why did this person get blessed even though they did wrong, yet I do good and nothing works out?”

We have to ask God to help us to discipline ourselves enough not to look at the outcome of other peoples situations or goals, but focus on our own. Our outcomes are totally different from those of others. What they are headed for is something else. What you’re heading for, God has already designed. In order to get to that, you have to go through this, that and this again. You can’t come out of anywhere and be a saved, strong child of God or even a  pastor, without having experienced anything. We’ve not gone through testing on love, hatred, being faithful to the people and men of God, caring for the things of God, yet we want to counsel or help someone to go through something that we have never experienced or something simular. It won’t be effective. So we have to evaluate in our own minds when we see people with new cars and nice thing, who seem to have a wonderful family life, etc, even though we know they aren’t living a life in Christ, or don’t even believe in God, yet they are blessed.

In this world today, we’re standing in the midst of the way to go. We don’t know where to go. The kings and rulers of this world are making laws and statutes that are against every law of God to the point that our very fibers of existence are shaken. We have our President declaring that the United States is not a Christian nation, when historically, it was founded in Christianity. In this day, laws are being made to suit the flesh. It will come upon the children of God to make a decision. Will that effect your life? Yes, as a Child of God, it will effect your life. Look at your mindset in that decision state. How are you coping in your mindset with what decision is being made? Will you give over just because of the President? God says, Let God be true, and every man a liar. If God says its wrong, then whom are you going to listen to?

Joshua 24:15

And if it seem evil unto you to serve the Lord, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve theLord.

This should be the banner and cry for every Child of God, regardless of what any President or ruler says.

How long shall we have this thought of indecision in our walk with God, how long shall we stay in the midst of our decision, being upset with God, how long shall we go through hurt and pain, saying to ourselves “I’m tired of going through,” how long shall we be what we are when God wants us to be better than where we are at? We need to understand that only His mercy and grace is keeping us where we’re at.

Let’s take a look at the story of Daniel:

Daniel 6:1-7

It pleased Darius to set over the kingdom an hundred and twenty princes, which should be over the whole kingdom; And over these three presidents; of whom Daniel was first: that the princes might give accounts unto them, and the king should have no damage. Then this Daniel was preferred above the presidents and princes, because an excellent spirit was in him; and the king thought to set him over the whole realm. Then the presidents and princes sought to find occasion against Daniel concerning the kingdom; but they could find none occasion nor fault; forasmuch as he was faithful, neither was there any error or fault found in him. Then said these men, We shall not find any occasion against this Daniel, except we find it against him concerning the law of his God. Then these presidents and princes assembled together to the king, and said thus unto him, King Darius, live for ever. All the presidents of the kingdom, the governors, and the princes, the counsellors, and the captains, have consulted together to establish a royal statute, and to make a firm decree, that whosoever shall ask a petition of any God or man for thirty days, save of thee, O king, he shall be cast into the den of lions.

Daniel prayed 3 times a day, what was going on here was a set- up. If the King declared something, it was carried out regardless of family members or beloved ones.

Daniel 6:8-10

Now, O king, establish the decree, and sign the writing, that it be not changed, according to the law of the Medes and Persians, which altereth not. Wherefore king Darius signed the writing and the decree. Now when Daniel knew that the writing was signed, he went into his house; and his windows being open in his chamber toward Jerusalem, he kneeled upon his knees three times a day, and prayed, and gave thanks before his God, as he did aforetime.

Daniel knew whom He served. Not Darius or other princes, he served God.

Daniel 6:11-28

Then these men assembled, and found Daniel praying and making supplication before his God. Then they came near, and spake before the king concerning the king’s decree; Hast thou not signed a decree, that every man that shall ask a petition of any God or man within thirty days, save of thee, O king, shall be cast into the den of lions? The king answered and said, The thing is true, according to the law of the Medes and Persians, which altereth not. Then answered they and said before the king, That Daniel, which is of the children of the captivity of Judah, regardeth not thee, O king, nor the decree that thou hast signed, but maketh his petition three times a day. Then the king, when he heard these words, was sore displeased with himself, and set his heart on Daniel to deliver him: and he laboured till the going down of the sun to deliver him. Then these men assembled unto the king, and said unto the king, Know, O king, that the law of the Medes and Persians is, That no decree nor statute which the king establisheth may be changed. Then the king commanded, and they brought Daniel, and cast him into the den of lions. Now the king spake and said unto Daniel, Thy God whom thou servest continually, he will deliver thee. And a stone was brought, and laid upon the mouth of the den; and the king sealed it with his own signet, and with the signet of his lords; that the purpose might not be changed concerning Daniel. Then the king went to his palace, and passed the night fasting: neither were instruments of musick brought before him: and his sleep went from him. Then the king arose very early in the morning, and went in haste unto the den of lions. And when he came to the den, he cried with a lamentable voice unto Daniel: and the king spake and said to Daniel, O Daniel, servant of the living God, is thy God, whom thou servest continually, able to deliver thee from the lions?  Then said Daniel unto the king, O king, live for ever.  My God hath sent his angel, and hath shut the lions’ mouths, that they have not hurt me: forasmuch as before him innocency was found in me; and also before thee, O king, have I done no hurt.  Then was the king exceedingly glad for him, and commanded that they should take Daniel up out of the den. So Daniel was taken up out of the den, and no manner of hurt was found upon him, because he believed in his God.  And the king commanded, and they brought those men which had accused Daniel, and they cast them into the den of lions, them, their children, and their wives; and the lions had the mastery of them, and brake all their bones in pieces or ever they came at the bottom of the den. Then king Darius wrote unto all people, nations, and languages, that dwell in all the earth; Peace be multiplied unto you. I make a decree, That in every dominion of my kingdom men tremble and fear before the God of Daniel: for he is the living God, and stedfast for ever, and his kingdom that which shall not be destroyed, and his dominion shall be even unto the end. He delivereth and rescueth, and he worketh signs and wonders in heaven and in earth, who hath delivered Daniel from the power of the lions. So this Daniel prospered in the reign of Darius, and in the reign of Cyrus the Persian.

In Daniel’s decision about what he was going through, what he should think and how he should do, before he went into the den he made a declaration that God would protect him. This is the way we’re supposed to take it. “I’m going through, I’m going through.” This is how you, we, me, every Child of God should be. They’re taking all the Children of God and putting them in camps. Should we go in saying, no I’m going to fight against it, or should we go in saying ok, my God will deliver me? We will all come to a point when we will be in the lion’s den.

How you operate in what you’re going through, and your disposition, in your situation; how you handle it will determine how God will deliver you. When you going through, go through with the outcome of a victorious spirit, not a spirit of defeat.
