Don’t Let Your Arms fall to Your Enemies

Exodus 17: 6-12

Behold, I will stand before thee there upon the rock in Horeb; and thou shalt smite the rock, and there shall come water out of it, that the people may drink. And Moses did so in the sight of the elders of Israel. And he called the name of the place Massah, and Meribah, because of the chiding of the children of Israel, and because they tempted the Lord, saying, Is the Lord among us, or not? Then came Amalek, and fought with Israel in Rephidim. And Moses said unto Joshua, Choose us out men, and go out, fight with Amalek: to morrow I will stand on the top of the hill with the rod of God in mine hand. So Joshua did as Moses had said to him, and fought with Amalek: and Moses, Aaron, and Hur went up to the top of the hill. And it came to pass, when Moses held up his hand, that Israel prevailed: and when he let down his hand, Amalek prevailed. But Moses hands were heavy; and they took a stone, and put it under him, and he sat thereon; and Aaron and Hur stayed up his hands, the one on the one side, and the other on the other side; and his hands were steady until the going down of the sun. AAnd Joshua discomfited Amalek and his people with the edge of the sword. And the Lord said unto Moses, Write this for a memorial in a book, and rehearse it in the ears of Joshua: for I will utterly put out the remembrance of Amalek from under heaven. And Moses built an altar, and called the name of it Jehovahnissi: For he said, Because the Lord hath sworn that the Lord will have war with Amalek from generation to generation.

Numbers 21: 4-9

And they journeyed from mount Hor by the way of the Red sea, to compass the land of Edom: and the soul of the people was much discouraged because of the way.  And the people spake against God, and against Moses, Wherefore have ye brought us up out of Egypt to die in the wilderness? for there is no bread, neither is there any water; and our soul loatheth this light bread.  And the Lord sent fiery serpents among the people, and they bit the people; and much people of Israel died. Therefore the people came to Moses, and said, We have sinned, for we have spoken against the Lord, and against thee; pray unto the Lord, that he take away the serpents from us. And Moses prayed for the people. And the Lord said unto Moses, Make thee a fiery serpent, and set it upon a pole: and it shall come to pass, that every one that is bitten, when he looketh upon it, shall live. And Moses made a serpent of brass, and put it upon a pole, and it came to pass, that if a serpent had bitten any man, when he beheld the serpent of brass, he lived.

The Lord will not lead you in the middle of no place and say start your ministry yourself. If He led you to start a ministry, He will not let you flip the bill all by yourself. He won’t leave you stranded so your arms fall to your side and you give up. That is not what He is about, He’s not going to do that. The Children of Israel didn’t understand that. The only reason they confessed their sins was because they knew they dogged God and Moes out. If nothing had ever happened, they would still have complained. God sent the fiery serpents and when they began killing them they repented. They got off light. Like us, we get off light with all kinds of stuff, because we do things the way we feel, but the Lord does not kill us. They had a selfish mentality acting like they were someone but they were nobody. They complained about everything. They complained about the things they suffered in Egypt and complained out in the wilderness. Now the one who saved you, you complained to because there is no food. That sounds like some people in the Church “I’ve given you my money, now what have you done with it?” The same people that say they have not food, their utilities about to be shut off, but every time there was time for an offering, you put nothing in a quarter or dollar, but you come to the church asking for a hundred times of that complaining that you can’t get any help. Maybe all the time you were in the Chruch, you put a total of maybe $100 dollars for the year, but you come to the church and say I can’t pay my house bill, utility bill, car note, I have no clothes or food. If the Church was a bank, they wouldn’t give you anything, because $100 is nothing compared to what your needs are. Your needs are always in the hundreds of dollars if not thousands. And you who only put a $100 in the church have the audacity to complain and wine that the church is not helping you. If the Church gives you back your $100, then you really have put nothing into the Church. The church is not for this, but to help the community and the people in it. Not all the money the church takes in is not for you. You’re supposed to be out doing service, we are helpers on to another. If the help is only on one side, then you kind of wonder, are your hands still raised or fallen to the side, and now your own the begging list. Stop your complaining, stop your whining, support the house of God so that your fellow brothers of sisters of the body of God needs will be met. That don’t mean I gave $1000 so I should be able to come back to the church x number of times until that money is used up. This is what the Church has become, people have made it into a bank and then throw a scripture in your face saying that’s what the church is for, to meet your needs. If everyone had needs

That doesn’t mean I gave $1000 so I should be able to come back to the church x number of times until that money is used up. This is what the Church has become, people have made it into a bank and then throw a scripture in your face saying that’s what the church is for, to meet your needs. If everyone had needs on the same time, there would be no money, and if there are not finances to give the people, they’d get made with the Pastor, accuse him and say he didn’t deal properly with the money. They become like the Children of Israel because their personal needs weren’t met. Instead of finding a solution they bring a problem, and when the problem was not resolved, they begin to bad mouth the Lord and His leader. This is what the church has come to today.  We have to realize that if we continue to whine and complain to the Lord about what we don’t have and what we want and start calling Him names and His men of God names, don’t be surprised if the Lord sends a fiery serpent in your home. That fiery serpent could be a disease, financial devastation, murder, whatever. Just be concerned not the complain and whine. The Lord already knows what we have need of. We get our needs confused with our wants and then try to explain our wants as our needs. The Bible says how long halt you between two opinions? If God be God serve Him if mamon service him. You can’t serve two masters and expect to be an active child ofGodd.

Obedience to Instruction Brings Results

Joshua 6:1, Proverbs 15:5, Respectively

Now Jericho was straitly shut up because of the children of Israel: none went out, and none came in.

A fool despiseth his father’s instruction: but he that regardeth reproof is prudent.

Obedience the Bible says is better than sacrifice (1 Samuel 15:22). Obedience to instruction brings results. If we look at the word obedience it means to submit to the strength or command of authority. Instructions, lessons, precepts, demands, and orders; to teach orally; to inform.

If you want God to do something, then you need to be obedient to His instructions “will”. Today, people don’t want to listen to anybody. They have their own thought, they know what they want to do and say; they know what’s right for them and what’s right for you too. The Bible tells us, the blind will lead the blind and both will fall in a ditch. It also says they will heap unto themselves teachers after their own flesh. This is what is happing today. Obedience to the instruction of God allows God to operate on your behalf. You shouldn’t sit there and question God. Now asking Him how something should be done is good, but asking why you should do it, is bad.

If you look at your life, your marriage especially, when you say I do, and they get to the part where you must promise to love and obey, until death do you part. Many women are reluctant at the word obedient. The husband is not to be a tyrant over you, but you both are to be together in the household. The Bible says that we must obey the one that has rule over us.

Now, what would have happened if Joshua didn’t follow the plan that he was given from God about walking around Jericho? Nothing. He would have been defeated and over taken by the enemy because of disobedience. When you are given instructions, make sure those instructions are from God and not of your flesh because you want to see certain things go your way. If you continually disregard instructions in your life, then results that you would desire to happen in your life won’t happen. If someone is telling you to do something, follow instructions. Yet use wisdom, make sure the instructions make sense. Be obedient to instruction that is righteous, wise, logical, won’t put you or others in danger, and is clear instructions.

The Word says that the steps of a righteous man are ordered by God. The structure, the movement. So that when you are getting obedient instruction, God says He wants you to walk a certain way: Treat your neighbor as yourself, keep His words, don’t drink or smoke, go to this certain church because there will be someone there to train you to be what God wants you to be. So if you decide not to go to that particular Church because the church doesn’t have this and it doesn’t have that; it doesn’t meet your specifications so you don’t go to that church. So your result will be negative. God will put you through multiple tests to adhere you to his obedience. He chastens the ones He loves.

The point is you have to be obedient to instruction. If you are out of step, whose order are you in? When you are given instruction in the house of God, if the Pastor or Lady gives you instruction; if God directly gives you instruction, be obedient. Many people don’t want to do what the word of God says, but they think they will go to heaven. If several babies are in a room with their mothers, and one of the babies cries out, will all the mothers get up? No, only the mother whom that child belongs to. The same thing with God, He will take his children who have been obedient to Him, who has done His will. Not those who have never done anything for Him. Out of all of that, if we are obedient to the will of God, you will get the results that He wants for you.

Don’t be misinformed, don’t take everything for granted, don’t try to do things your way, do it God’s way. Take your instructions from the Holy Ghost, and He will lead you and guide you to all truth, and you will never fail.

Lord Where Should my Footsteps Tread?

Psalm 17:5
Hold up my goings in thy paths, that my footsteps slip not.
One of the biggest questions today, I believe, on the minds of those in the Church is “Am I walking the correct path to Jesus Christ (Yahshua) or have I gotten it wrong so long that I can’t see the correct path?” Proverbs 14:12 says “There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.” Are you on the path to death? With the influx of so many different doctrines and belief systems, the average believer and would be believer will be hard pressed to find the real path to salvation.

In the Word we read in Isaiah 26:3 that “Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.” In Galatians 6:3 we find “For if a man think himself to be something, when he is nothing, he deceiveth himself.” The Word is very clear about this concerning out walk with Him. Further in 1 Corinthians 10:12-15 we find:

Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall. There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it. Wherefore, my dearly beloved, flee from idolatry. I speak as to wise men; judge ye what I say.

We know this yoke in our walk with God is easy, and the burden in our life walk we all share is light.

Matthew 11:29-30

Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.

However, we are constantly in the way of our walk. We either are bound by our emotional soul and flesh in conflict, or bound by a spiritual soul conflict. If we give our conflict to Him, He will teach us how to go through the conflict in our walk. So that next time you will go through it with a “well done my good and faithful servant.” You’ll say, “now Lord, I’m ready for the next test or trail.”

Psalm 37:23

The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord: and he delighteth in his way.

This goes for women as well. In this world, our footsteps have got to be ordered by God through Jesus Christ (Yahshua Messiah) our Lord and Savior! In order to cope with the entanglement of this sinful and adulteress generation, your steps must be ordered. You can’t do this by yourself, but we are all to help one another.

Titus 3:8-9

This is a faithful saying, and these things I will that thou affirm constantly, that they which have believed in God might be careful to maintain good works. These things are good and profitable unto men. But avoid foolish questions, and genealogies, and contentions, and strivings about the law; for they are unprofitable and vain.

In conclusion, a hunter when pursuing a bear, looks for its tracks. If the hunter comes across deer tracks, would he stop and begin to pursue the deer? Would the hunter so soon forget that he is a bear hunter? The goal is not to change who or what you are to suit the tracks, but continue on your path and look for the bear tracks. You will be lead to the completion of your initial plans.

Conflicts of Your Christian Life

Conflicts: Things Have Changed

Conflict: A clash between hostile or opposing forces

7 Conflicts in the Christian Life

1) Christian behavior- Romans 13:1-2
“Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God. Whosoever therefore resisteth the power, resisteth the ordinance of God: and they that resist shall receive to themselves damnation.”

The powers that be will use these verses to get the Child of God to be obedient to them for the purpose of control. The old man wants to address a situation in the ways it wants to without using the Word of God. They watch to see how you are, to get your reaction.

2) Sin. Do you wrestle with sin? It is a conflict with your spiritual walk. Sin comes in all types of ways. Sin is always present.

3) To live holy or not to live holy:

James 3:1-18, James 4:1-17, Romans 13:14, Romans 6:1

4) Flesh and the Spirit – Romans 8, John 1:13

5) The voice of Jesus Christ – Sometimes we think our own voices are the voice of Jesus. But, when He truly speaks to you, you will know assuredly. “And when he putteth forth his own sheep, he goeth before them, and the sheep follow him: for they know his voice. And a stranger will they not follow, but will flee from him: for they know not the voice of strangers.” John 10:4-5. Also see Matthew 16:17, John 10:27

6) Lust – This goes beyond sex. The lust to do evil, head games, lust to sin. Lust, money and power cause men to fall. For women,  love, financial ability, and outer appearance cause them to fall. Lust not, want not, need not. How many are lusting after Jesus? Ephesians 2:3

7) To pray or not to pray- We should know when to pray and what to prayer about and wait for God to answer. Matthew 6:7. David was a man after Gods own heart. His heart was genuine when he asked for forgiveness. We need to do the same.

These conflicts are just normally against the child of God, a part from personal conflicts. Whatever we go through, seek the answers from God, fall on your knees, fall on your face, humble yourself. He is the only hope in our Christian walk.
