Luke 6:43-47
For a good tree bringeth not forth corrupt fruit; neither doth a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. For every tree is known by his own fruit. For of thorns men do not gather figs, nor of a bramble bush gather they grapes. A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is evil: for of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh. And why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say? Whosoever cometh to me, and heareth my sayings, and doeth them, I will shew you to whom he is like:
Many people say they are Christian. It doesn’t matter about you waving your hands in the air like you just don’t care, or if you scream from the top of your voice, I love Him, I love to call His name Jesus, or dressing in the latest style and walking around in the church, feeling something is coming over you, causing the people to rise to an emotional state. You get a rise from those who act emotionally who may truly be seeking God or moving on the emotionalism of others. The point is if no one gets delivered, then what was it for? We always forget that it is not about us. We tend to want to ride a particular, popular move because we want the attention, popularity, but what does the Holy Ghost say about what we’re doing? We are to praise God with a pure heart, even when there is no one around, no cameras; we should be able to give Him the same praise or worship when no one can hear except you and Him. So ask yourself, are we talking about it, or are we walking about being a child of God?
The Lord said it plainly and clearly in Luke 6:46: And why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say?
