Passages: Psalm 96:1,1 peter 3:15
Almost everybody has a favorite song that they like to hear, even to the point where they’ll begin to pat their feet or bounce their head, etc. If we don’t have that song, we’ll buy or download it. We sometimes will do what it takes to get that song or piece of music. Now if that song gets corrupted then we have issues with that song or device that its playing on. Then we’ll set out to find out what happen to it and see if it can be fixed, so that it can return its original state. And we’ll stop listening to it at all because it is broken. I tell you the only problem is that we are our own worse enemy. We are songs unto the Lord, and we are broken songs. A song that He wants to change back to where He can once again hear the sound of our love for Him.
1 Peter 3:15
But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear:
Psalm 95:6
O come, let us worship and bow down: let us kneel before the Lord our maker.
The word Song means: A short poem or other set of words set to music or meant to be sung.
synonyms: air, strain, ditty, melody, tune, number, show tune, track, anthem, hymn.
What does a song consist of?
Pop songs often connect the verses and chorus via a bridge, which as its name suggests, is a section which connects the verses and chorus at one or more points in the song. The verses and chorus are usually repeated throughout a song through the bridge, intro, and coda (also called an outro). These are usually only used once.
Our life is so much like a song. Our life contains an intro which is our birth, a verse that tells about the situations on our journey in this existence. The chorus which is the memory, and a bridge which tells whether or not things have changed for your life.
The Lord tell us in Psalm 96:1 O sing unto the Lord a new song: sing unto the Lord, all the earth.
A song writer once wrote these words: May the life I live speak for me!
“Scriptures of Being a living witness”
Matthew 5:16 – Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.

Philippians 2:15 – That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world;
Acts 10:42 – And he commanded us to preach unto the people, and to testify that it is he which was ordained of God [to be] the Judge of quick and dead.
Romans 12:1 – I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, [which is] your reasonable service.
Matthew 5:13 – Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men.
So when your song is broken, somewhere in your song, a verse is gone or missing, or your chorus has been corrupted or was never in place in your life. So you never made it to the bridge. Someone or something took some part of your song and left you incomplete, so your life can’t be a living testimony for our Lord Jesus and you can’t be a living witness. Plus your life can not shine before men (Matthew 5:16). We are songs unto the Lord (Psalm 96:1).
