Have you ever been in a place in your life where you had no patience for anything? Not only that, but you didn’t even have patience for yourself let alone for anybody else, always hearing this same statement over and over again: “Patience is a virtue.” Yet, at that time you were not feeling very virtuous. The term “virtuous” means having or showing high moral standards.
So I guess some of you have lost your morals, which in turn gives demonic entities access to your heart and robs you of your faith towards Christ. Even the visions that Jesus gives you, you just can’t contain yourself to wait for it. Some of us think that if we don’t act right now, Christ might change His mind. Now when you just look at my last statement that in itself opens up a whole other can of worms. Like unbelief, resentment and faithlessness, among other things.
2 Peter 1:3-10
3 According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue: 4 Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust. 5 And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge; 6 And
to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness; 7 And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity. 8 For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. 9 But he that lacketh these things is blind, and cannot see afar off, and hath forgotten that he was purged from his old sins. 10 Wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence to make your calling and election sure: for if ye do these things, ye shall never fall:
We know sometimes it may feel unfair that you’re not as far along in your walk as you may think, but know this:
1 Corinthians 9:24-27
24 Know ye not that they which run in a race run all, but one receiveth the prize? So run, that ye may obtain. 25 And every man that striveth for the mastery is temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a corruptible crown; but we an incorruptible. 26 I therefore so run, not as uncertainly; so fight I, not as one that beateth the air: 27 But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway.
So you keep on falling even when you try so hard, but you have to remember that Christ is trying to make you by breaking you, from you. Do you remember when you where a little child and you would do what you where told not too? Your parents would tell you over and over again not
to do a thing; and you would still go and do it. Well Jesus is our our Father and He wants you to get the point so that it won’t become a problem when you’re out doing His will for your life.
Hebrews 12:6-8
6 For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth. 7 If ye endure chastening, God dealeth with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the father chasteneth not? 8 But if ye be without chastisement, whereof all are partakers, then are ye bastards, and not sons.
In my conclusion, I’m going to leave with these scriptures:
Psalms 27:14
14 Wait on the LORD:
be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the LORD.
Habakkuk 2:3
For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry
Don’t give up on the vision of the Lord, just position yourself for it. Don’t try to anticipate the Lord’s move in you life, just participate.
James 4:3
3 Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lusts.
Philippians 4:6-7
6 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. 7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
Selah, now. It is so.
